The Lindo Neptune V2 short-scale bass, designed in Bristol by Lindo Guitars, combines the sleek appearance of the Neptune with the comfort of a 30″ short-scale neck enhances its playability and comfort. These elements are artfully blended to create a unique and aesthetically pleasing guitar concept.
The Neptune V3 bass features a unique headstock design with solid Lindo machine heads. These reliable diecast tuners offer a 19:1 gear ratio, providing excellent stability and precision tuning capabilities. The tuners’ chrome finish adds a touch of elegance to the bass’s overall aesthetic, making it stand out from the crowd.Â
Solid composite wood ebony-effect fretboard and bridge contribute not only to the stunning appearance but also to the exceptional tonal quality of the bass.
Composite wood is great choice for guitar fretboards and bridges due to its dense, hard nature, which provides a bright and clear tone with excellent sustain. Additionally, the material’s durability ensures that the fretboard and bridge can withstand rigorous playing for many years, making it an excellent long-term investment for musicians.
A standout feature is the luminous inlays, which can be “charged” with a phone light or torch, ensuring visibility on stage and never missing a note.
The Lindo Neptune V3’s hollow bracing, specifically, plays a pivotal role in refining its acoustic qualities. This innovative approach to bracing involves laser-cutting each brace within the guitar to significantly reduce the instrument’s internal mass. This reduction allows the top of the guitar, or soundboard, to vibrate more freely, resulting in an enhanced resonance and volume. The hollow nature of the braces also contributes to a more nuanced tonal balance, allowing for a wider dynamic range and subtler harmonic overtones.
