First impressions of the Lindo Saturn
New guitar day is finally here and we're all very excited about it. An exclusive first look at the brand new, feature packed Lindo Saturn.

Throughout the design and manufacturing process, guitars always seem tantalisingly close to being finished. On a computer screen, no matter how well thought out a design is or how amazing you think it will be, you never quite know until it’s built and in your hands.
The Lindo Saturn is a guitar I’ve been excited about since its conception: a pebble-shaped guitar made with the same composite material our guitar necks have come to be known for. Because of this material, contouring the edges of the body creates beautiful layered patterns, more akin to a geological landscape than what you’d expect to see on a guitar.
Seeing this idea come to fruition, it looks better than I think anyone at Lindo could have imagined—but how does it play and sound?
Brand new pickups
The Saturn features brand new pickups that all our latest electric range is being made with, and boy do they sound incredible. They have all the fatness you could want from a pair of humbuckers, but still retain a huge amount of clarity.
As random as it is, one of my go-to tests for pickups is to really crank up the gain and play “You Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC. The chorus of that song has always revealed excellent pickups to me. The fatness of the strummed chords paired with the clarity of the individual picked notes ringing out all at once is an excellent test that instantly reveals muddy pickups. The Saturn passes with flying colours.
Hardware and construction
This guitar is so feature-packed it’s hard to know where to start…
Quite rightly, tuning stability is considered absolutely imperative in a professional instrument, and we took that to heart in this design. Not only does the Saturn feature locking tuners, but we have introduced an innovative carbon fibre–reinforced neck to keep the instrument as stable as possible. Even after playing for long durations and soloing with lots of bends, I’ve been impressed at how well the Saturn stays in tune.
The zero fret has been an interesting idea that we have been toying with for a while. It allows for razor-low action on the first few frets of the guitar, while also creating a more uniform tone between open and fretted strings, which is a really useful and unique feature. All of the frets on this guitar are also stainless steel, making for an extremely smooth playing experience and a material that will last well into the future.
Playability
This thing is fast—really fast. The Saturn finish on the neck (no pun intended), paired with incredibly low action—thanks in part to the zero fret and in part to our guitar tech Jack’s beautiful setup—makes playing the Saturn a dream.
I’m absolutely in love with the neck carve and finish. Not only that, but the stainless steel frets make bending so smooth that playing this guitar feels like you’re gliding.
In terms of weight, this guitar isn’t light, but it’s not uncomfortably heavy either. It sits in that Les Paul kind of category. To me, the weight adds a resonance and steadiness to the instrument that I actually really like.
All in all, this guitar has surpassed my expectations. It sounds great, it looks great, and it feels great to play. The whole Lindo team is extremely proud to bring this guitar to market, and we’re excited to hear what you think of it.
Preorders will be open very, very soon…
