The AfterLife begins with a striking meeting of materials. A natural Japanese tamo ash top sits above a metallic black sycamore body, while abalone symbols lead the eye along the black composite fretboard. The headless silhouette gives those details a clear, uncluttered setting.
Designed by Lindo Guitars in Bristol, the instrument brings ancient-Egypt-inspired imagery together with a semi-chambered body, a reinforced composite neck and tuning hardware at the bridge. Its shape may be unusual, but the playing dimensions remain full-size: a 25.5-inch scale within an 832 mm overall length.

01 · Wood, space and outline
A natural top.
A snake-shaped opening.
The body is sycamore, with a Japanese tamo ash drop-top and flame maple binding around the edge. The figure of the top is left in view, set against the metallic black gloss of the body and the clean reflection of the chrome pickups.
Along one side, the snake-shaped soundhole follows the body’s curve and opens into the chambered construction. It is a defining part of the AfterLife’s appearance: an expressive line through the natural wood, balanced by the sharper geometry of the bridge and pickup rings.

The workbench view brings the body together with layered neck components before the instrument is complete. The figured top and snake-shaped opening are already visible, with the pickup and neck cavities still open.
Seen beside the finished body, it offers another way to follow the AfterLife’s construction: natural wood and composite, each with a distinct part in the design.
02 · Beneath the black fretboard
Composite structure.
Carbon-fibre support.
The C-shaped composite neck is reinforced by two carbon-fibre rods. The labelled construction view shows them alongside the truss rod, making the arrangement beneath the fretboard easy to follow. A two-way truss rod with spoke-wheel adjustment forms the adjustable part of that structure.
The back of the neck reveals the layered material and coloured centre stripe. At the heel, the neck meets the shaped body through a four-bolt connection, with the natural edge of the top visible beside the black finish.

03 · A sequence of symbols
The Eye of Horus.
A story in abalone.
The AfterLife’s ancient-Egypt-inspired inlay sequence was developed from an idea held by Lindo’s Creative Director, Simon. Across the black composite fretboard, the abalone seashell changes in colour and reflection as the viewing angle moves, giving each symbol its own presence.
The Eye of Horus theme comes into focus in the detailed 12th-fret design. Along the edge, Luminlay side dots provide luminous position markers. The darker fretboard gives both the decorative sequence and the stainless-steel frets a clear setting.
04 · From the string locks to the tuners
Headless hardware.
Details close at hand.
At the end of the neck, gold locking hardware holds the strings beside the mother-of-pearl Lindo and AfterLife logos. At the other end, the gold and black die-cast headless bridge brings the tuners to the body, with a listed string spacing of 10.5 mm.
Two Lindo handwound Alnico humbuckers sit within mirror chrome mounting rings. The specification lists the neck pickup at 7.1k and the bridge at 13k. A three-way selector, one volume control and one tone control keep the switching layout familiar.
A touch of abalone.
Abalone detailing returns on the volume and tone controls, linking the hardware to the fretboard’s inlays. The chrome control surrounds and selector sit against the natural top, with the wood figure continuing between them.
The smaller practical details.
The angled jack sits in the side of the body, while locking strap buttons are part of the fitted hardware. The close views below show the controls and connection point without losing the surrounding material and finish.
05 · Full scale, clearly measured
832 mm overall.
25.5 inches in scale.
The headless layout changes the instrument’s outline while retaining a full 25.5-inch scale. The drawing places the front, rear and side views together, showing the 832 mm overall length alongside the 380 mm body length and 324 mm body width.
The body is listed at 40 mm deep, matching the dimension drawing. The complete image can be opened at full size, and the principal measurements are repeated below in readable text.

Ready for the next chapter.
The AfterLife is supplied with a hard case. Before dispatch, Lindo’s guitar technician carries out a full UK setup, including truss-rod adjustment and action. A final tune may still be needed when the instrument arrives.
From the figured top and chambered body to the black composite neck and abalone symbols, the AfterLife brings its materials and imagery into one distinctive instrument. The case and setup are part of that complete package.
