Neptune V3 · the second life of a perfect idea
THE FINISH HAS A MARK.
THE DESIGN STILL SPEAKS.
B-stock changes the surface story, not the reason the Neptune V3 exists. The offset soundhole still interrupts the familiar outline; the all-black palette still gives the curves room to breathe; and the practical construction remains ready for the ordinary work of playing.
This page begins with honesty about appearance, then moves into the guitar itself—its dark materials, luminous landmarks, amplified voice and full UK setup.

A first listen
Hear the design before taking it apart.
The official Neptune V3 playthrough remains near the beginning, just as it did on the original page. It gives the instrument room to speak before the materials and controls are examined one by one.

The circle moves; the eye follows
The soundhole steps aside.
The offset soundhole is the Neptune’s defining pause. It moves away from the expected centre and leaves the spruce top with a calmer, more sculptural face. Around it, the cutaway, sapele body and matte-black finish hold the instrument in one continuous visual line.
At the twelfth fret, the mother-of-pearl Neptune Planet Core becomes a small landmark. The dark “soaked through” maple fretboard and bridge keep that detail bright without making the rest of the guitar busy.

When the room grows darker
A small light along the edge.
Luminlay side dots sit along the neck as quiet reference points. In a dim rehearsal room or on a dark stage, they help the player find the next position with a quick glance rather than a search.
They are a practical detail, but they also complete the V3 idea: the loudest visual gesture is never necessarily the most useful one.

When the room asks for more
Shape the acoustic signal, then choose its route.
An under-saddle piezoelectric pickup feeds the F-4T preamp. Master volume and four-band EQ controls for bass, middle, treble and presence sit beside a backlit chromatic tuner, keeping the main amplified tools together on the guitar.

The final line of the silhouette
Black hardware, measured turns.
The headstock keeps the Neptune’s matte-black language intact. Black-finished alloy machine heads use a 19:1 gear ratio, giving small tuning adjustments room to settle before the first chord.

The construction in one frame
Make the technical picture large enough to read.
The original feature artwork carries its own labels, so it is presented at the full story width rather than squeezed beside a long paragraph. The cards beneath repeat only the four details most useful at a glance.

Before it leaves Bristol
B-stock receives the same careful final chapter.
Each guitar is checked and fully set up before dispatch. The process covers the cosmetic condition, F-4T electronics, neck relief, nut height, action, frets, fretboard treatment, tuning and final playability.
The exact cosmetic marks may vary, but the condition is disclosed before purchase and the setup is completed before the instrument begins its journey.

The clear view
Dimensions and specifications.
The original dimensions artwork is given the full page width so its labels remain useful. The cards and table below provide the same essential information in a mobile-readable form.

The last word
A MARK ON THE SURFACE.
A STORY STILL WAITING.
The B-stock Neptune V3 is honest about the details that made it B-stock. Beyond them remains the full V3 idea: a quiet black silhouette, practical electronics, luminous landmarks and a guitar waiting to become familiar in someone’s hands.
