The Lindo Bamboo Voyager V2 features a bone nut, mahogany neck, and laurel fretboard for producing warm, resonant tones. The instrument is designed for immediate playability, with a double-cutaway body for easy access to higher frets.
The 24″ scale-length, 20-fret neck showcases a bamboo-themed inlay made from figured maple, adding a touch of brightness to the sound.
The Lindo Bamboo Voyager’s hollow bracing, specifically, plays a pivotal role in refining its acoustic qualities. This innovative approach to bracing involves laser-cutting each brace within the guitar to significantly reduce the instrument’s internal mass. This reduction allows the top of the guitar, or soundboard, to vibrate more freely, resulting in an enhanced resonance and volume. The hollow nature of the braces also contributes to a more nuanced tonal balance, allowing for a wider dynamic range and subtler harmonic overtones.
A prominent feature on the Voyager fretboard 12th fret is the abalone seashell Kingfisher bird inlay. The Kingfisher, often regarded as a symbol of peace, prosperity, and love, adds not just visual elegance but a deeper, symbolic value to the instrument. The bridge, crafted from solid laurel and adorned with dragonfly inlays, houses a compensated saddle for precise intonation.
The Lindo Bamboo Voyager V2 is equipped with the BS3M preamplifier and output module, complete with a blendable piezoelectric undersaddle pickup and soundhole microphone. These components allow players to shape their sound to suit any setting, whether on stage or in the studio. The built-in chromatic tuner, EQ controls, phase button, and notch filter offer versatile sound sculpting and feedback control. The output includes a dual jack and XLR output for a choice of connection options to amplifiers, mixing desk, PA or audio interface.
The BS3M preamp in the Lindo Bamboo Voyager V2 includes a notch filter control, enabling you to cut frequencies up to 300Hz, ideal for reducing noise or unnecessary string frequencies. The preamp’s ‘phase’ button is essential for reducing feedback by synchronizing the sound waves of the guitar and amplifier. This feature corrects any ‘out of phase’ issues, preventing a tinny, unbalanced sound and ensuring a fuller, warmer tone.
Furthermore, the Lindo Bamboo Voyager V2 offers versatile connectivity with its dual output jacks, accommodating either a standard guitar lead or a balanced XLR. The guitar was delivered within 24 hours, very quickly! The finish and the quality of build is excellent.. What a smashing little guitar with good volume without an amp in spite of its small size. I’m just trying the guitar now connected to an amplifier and it changes the guitar altogether and produces some wonderful sounds, still experimenting but so far cannot fault it. Thank you also to Flynn at Lindo Guitars for his answers to my queries.
