The Lindo left handed neptune short scale Electro Acoustic Bass Guitar – Design and Concept

The Lindo left handed Neptune short scale bass is designed in the UK by Lindo Guitars here in Bristol. We took the best of 3 worlds with this concept. Firstly, you have the slick looks of the Lindo Neptune. Secondly, you have the comfort of a slim body acoustic guitar (only 80 mm depth). Thirdly, you have the playability and comfort of a short-scale neck (30″ as opposed to 34″). Combining these strong elements together has resulted in a very unique and attractive guitar concept.

Our solid walnut fretboard and bridge is always a winner for looks and tone. The figuring is beautiful and certainly represents the quality grade of wood we have selected. The body is of a basswood construction and features the Neptune signature offset soundhole. The offset placement ensures those warm bass tones are captured from the strings and helps to balance out the slimmer body. Therefore, acoustically, you can hear some pleasing tones across the length of the fretboard.

Features and Benefits

Aside from the offset soundhole and stunning looks, you have the F-4T bass preamp at your fingertips. The integrated preamplifier system allows you to connect to an amplifier or recording interface directly. Therefore playing live, gigging or home recording has never been easier. Also, the preamplifier features a backlit LCD with a digital tuner interface. The tuner displays string pitch and gives you clear indication if notes are flat or sharp. There are EQ controls for bass, middle and treble as well as master output volume.

Beautiful guitar and amazing sound. Delivered within 2 weeks to USA.

  2. Katrin (Germany)

Very good quality, workmanship and sound. This bass was a gift for my husband. I chose this bass because it doesn’t look the same as any 0815 electro – acoustic bass.
After initial problems with the transport company, I had very good contact with the service. The case was checked and a new bass was sent. The gentleman from the service kept getting in touch until the bass was with us… Thank you very much!

Now about the bass itself. It is very well made and has no sharp edges.
The sound is very good and my husband is very enthusiastic about it. He even ordered another bass right away, which has already arrived. The duration of the shipment was about 8 to 10 days, so don’t get restless right away 😉.
We would choose to do it again at any time.

After searching for a left handed bass, I stumbled across Lindo Guitars and was excited to find a few left handed basses in their range. I wanted something I could just pick up and play and to travel with me. The short scale Neptune was the perfect match for my needs. It was delivered very quickly and was nicely packaged and played in-tune out of the box! A high quality feel and an affordable price. Really looking forward to playing this bass and also the cajon purchased at the same time.
