IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR WARRANTY

This warranty is offered in conjunction with a purchase made from Lindo Guitars, 238 Broomhill Road, Brislington, Bristol, BS4 5RG. The warranty also applies when a purchase has been made from Amazon UK, Ebay UK, Etsy or Reverb. The obligations of Lindo Guitars are limited to repair or replacement for defects in materials or workmanship.

Your warranty will be automatically registered when you purchase from Lindo Guitars and will begin from the date you received your order and for a period of 12 months.

You MUST keep the guitar box for the lifetime of the warranty as the guitar will need to be returned in its original packaging should a warranty claim be accepted.

If you wish to make a claim against your warranty then the following process applies: contact must be made with Lindo Guitars prior to the item being returned. You can contact us by telephone on 0117 3009806 or by e-mail at info@lindoguitars.com

You will be asked to provide proof of purchase and explain in detail what the issue is and also asked to provide photographic evidence of the issue.

It is the customer’s responsibility to pay for the cost of transporting the guitar to and from our premises for inspection.
Once received, your item will be inspected within 5 working days of receipt. The item will either be repaired or replaced if covered by this warranty. We will contact you to let you know the outcome of the inspection and the resolution and also to discuss your preferred method of transporting the guitar back to you. Lindo Guitars will not entertain any dispute against the outcome of our inspection.

SNAPPED HEADSTOCKS

Modern manufacturing techniques mean that the neck of your guitar has a joint at the headstock which increases its strength. This is necessary due to the incredible amount of tension caused by the strings (approximately 200lbs!). The neck is also strengthened with a truss rod which also allows the neck to be adjusted for setup and maintenance purposes. If the guitar is subject to accidental damage i.e. being dropped or falling over, then it will most likely break at this joint. A headstock does not break itself and claims for this against the warranty will not be accepted. If this breakage occurs during transit it should be reported to us within 24 hours of receipt so we can arrange a replacement.

HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE

Guitars are made of wood which is affected by temperature and humidity. Acoustic guitars are made of thin wood and the affects of the temperature and humidity are more severe when compared to a solid body electric guitar. A room at 22-25 degrees Celsius with 45-55 percent humidity is ideal for storing your guitar. We recommend that you use a hygrometer/thermometer to check the room in which you store your guitar and advise that a rapid change/difference in these factors will put your guitar in danger. We also advise that a guitar should be kept in a hard case when not in use, as humidity is easier to control in smaller spaces. Guitar humidifiers that are used in a guitar case with the guitar are widely available online and we strongly recommend using one.

Symptoms that your guitar has been adversely affected by humidity and temperature include, but are not limited to:

• Development of sharp frets due to the fret board shrinking
• Fret buzz developing over a period of time that cannot be resolved by a truss rod adjustment. This is caused by the neck angle being incorrect due to the bridge being higher than the fretboard
• Bridge lifting away from the body and sunken top
• Swollen guitar top indicated by a dip at the tailblock
• Swollen guitar back
• Hump on the fretboard at the neck/body joint

Should your guitar develop any of these factors then we can advise you on the best course of action to resolve the issues. We cannot however accept any responsibility should the guitar be beyond repair.

Other factors not covered by the warranty:
• Any non-factory-installed electrical/electronic components or modifications
• Parts that are subject to wear and tear through normal usage including, but not limited to: strings, scratch plates, frets, plating on metal parts, nut, saddle, control switches, cracks or damage to the paint work, subsequent failure due to the addition of non-standard parts i.e. strap locks or capacitors, for example.
• Personal likes and judgements based on materials, tone or finishing

We will not accept claims against the warranty where a third party guitar technician or guitar shop have made a diagnosis and given personal assurances of the cause.

This warranty is non-transferable.

Lindo Guitars reserve the right to use alternative materials for repair, should the original material no longer be available.

Whilst in our possession, the item remains sole ownership of the customer.

If a guitar is returned to us without any information or reason for its return, Lindo Guitars will keep the guitar for 60 days. Once 60 days have passed we retain the right to dispose of the guitar at our discretion.
