1. About These Terms

These Website Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using the Lindo Guitars website and set out important terms relating to website use, customer support, product information and our 12-month warranty.

This website is owned and operated by:

Lindo Limited, trading as Lindo Guitars
238 Broomhill Road
Brislington
Bristol
BS4 5RG
United Kingdom

Email: info@lindoguitars.com

In these terms, “Lindo Guitars”, “Lindo”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Lindo Limited trading as Lindo Guitars.

By using this website, you agree to these Website Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website.

These terms should be read alongside our other policies, including our Delivery Policy, Returns Policy, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and any product-specific information shown on our website.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Part A — Website Terms of Use

2. Website Content

We aim to keep the information on this website accurate, clear and up to date.

However, website content is provided for general information and customer support purposes only. It should not be treated as professional, legal, technical, financial or specialist advice.

Although we take reasonable care when preparing product descriptions, images, prices, specifications, availability information and general website content, errors may occasionally occur.

We may update, correct, remove or change website content at any time without notice.

If you are unsure about any product detail before placing an order, please contact us at:

Email: info@lindoguitars.com

3. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, specifications, colours, images and prices accurately.

However:

  • colours may appear differently depending on your screen, lighting, browser or device settings;
  • wood grain, finish, pattern, texture and other natural features may vary between individual guitars;
  • product specifications may change slightly from time to time;
  • images may show accessories, cases, packaging or display items that are not included unless clearly stated;
  • availability may change without notice;
  • measurements, weights and specifications are usually approximate unless stated otherwise.

Where a product is made from wood or other natural materials, natural variation should be expected. These natural variations do not normally indicate a defect.

If you are unsure whether a guitar or accessory is suitable for your needs, please contact us before placing an order.

4. Pricing and Availability

We aim to ensure that prices and stock availability are accurate.

However, errors may occasionally occur. If we discover an error in the price, description or availability of an item you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

We reserve the right to correct pricing or availability errors and, where necessary, cancel or refuse an order before dispatch.

If payment has already been taken and we cancel the order, we will refund the amount paid.

Prices may change from time to time without notice. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted and dispatched.

5. Orders, Delivery, Returns and Warranty

Orders, delivery, returns and warranty matters are governed by our separate policies, including where applicable:

  • Delivery Policy;
  • Returns Policy;
  • 14-day money back guarantee;
  • Warranty Terms and Conditions;
  • any specific terms shown on the relevant product page or checkout page.

These Website Terms should be read alongside those policies.

If there is any conflict between these Website Terms and a specific order, delivery, returns or warranty policy, the more specific policy will usually apply to that issue.

Nothing in these Website Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including rights relating to faulty goods, goods not as described or goods not of satisfactory quality.

6. Online Chat and Customer Support

Our website may include online chat or automated assistance to help answer customer questions.

The information provided through online chat is intended as general customer support. It should not be treated as a final legal, technical, return, refund or warranty decision.

For order-specific, warranty, return, refund, delivery or complaint matters, we may need to review your order details, photographs, product condition, delivery records or other relevant information before confirming an outcome.

Our online chat or automated assistance does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

If you need human support, you can contact us at:

Email: info@lindoguitars.com

You must not share your account login details with anyone else.

Part B — Lindo Guitars 12-Month Warranty Terms

21. Warranty Overview

Every new Lindo guitar is covered by a 12-month warranty from the date you receive your order.

This warranty is provided by:

Lindo Guitars
238 Broomhill Road
Brislington
Bristol
BS4 5RG
United Kingdom

This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship.

Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, Lindo Guitars will repair or replace the item at our discretion.

This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.

22. Where This Warranty Applies

Your warranty is automatically registered when you purchase directly from Lindo Guitars.

The warranty may also apply when a purchase has been made through authorised Lindo sales channels, including Amazon UK, eBay UK, Etsy or Reverb, where the item was supplied by Lindo Guitars.

You may be asked to provide proof of purchase before a warranty claim can be assessed.

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

23. What This Warranty Covers

This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that arise under normal use during the warranty period.

If your claim is accepted, Lindo Guitars will decide whether the most appropriate solution is to repair or replace the item.

Where the original material, part or component is no longer available, Lindo Guitars reserves the right to use suitable alternative materials or components for repair or replacement.

Whilst the item is in our possession for inspection or repair, it remains the property of the customer.

24. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • accidental damage, including drops, knocks, falls or impact damage;
  • transit damage that is not reported within the required timeframe;
  • damage caused by misuse, neglect, poor storage or improper handling;
  • damage caused by unsuitable temperature or humidity conditions;
  • normal wear and tear;
  • strings, scratch plates, frets, plating on metal parts, nuts, saddles, control switches and other parts subject to normal use and wear;
  • cracks, chips, scratches or damage to the paintwork or finish caused after delivery;
  • any non-factory-installed electrical or electronic components;
  • modifications, repairs or adjustments carried out by third parties without prior written agreement from Lindo Guitars;
  • failure caused by the addition of non-standard parts, including but not limited to strap locks, capacitors or other replacement components;
  • personal preferences relating to tone, feel, finish, colour, grain pattern, material appearance or general playability preference;
  • issues resulting from lack of routine care, maintenance or adjustment after delivery.

Personal preferences are not warranty defects. If you simply change your mind or decide the guitar is not suitable for you, please refer to our Returns Policy and 14-day money back guarantee.

25. Keeping the Original Packaging

We strongly recommend keeping the original guitar box and packaging for the duration of the warranty period.

Guitars are fragile instruments and must be securely packaged for any return, inspection or repair. The original packaging is usually the safest way to return the instrument to us.

If the original packaging is no longer available, the customer must ensure that the guitar is packed safely and appropriately for transit.

Lindo Guitars cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by inadequate return packaging.

26. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Please contact Lindo Guitars before returning any guitar for inspection.

You can contact us by:

Telephone: 0117 3009806
Email: info@lindoguitars.com

Please do not return a guitar without contacting us first, as we need to confirm the correct return process and make sure the instrument is packed safely.

When making a warranty claim, you may be asked to provide:

  • proof of purchase;
  • a clear description of the issue;
  • photographs or video showing the problem;
  • photographs of the packaging, if the issue may relate to delivery damage;
  • any other information reasonably required to assess the claim.

27. Transport Costs for Warranty Inspection

For warranty inspections, customers may be responsible for the cost of transporting the guitar to and from our premises, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law or agreed by Lindo Guitars in writing.

We will advise you of the return process before the guitar is sent to us.

Please make sure any guitar returned to us is packed securely and appropriately.

We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service.

28. Inspection and Outcome

Once your guitar has been received, we will aim to inspect it within 5 working days.

After inspection, we will contact you with the outcome and explain whether the issue is covered by this warranty.

If the issue is covered, we will advise whether the guitar will be repaired or replaced.

If the issue is not covered, we will explain the reason and, where possible, advise on the best course of action.

If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact us with any additional information or evidence and we will review it.

29. Transit Damage

If your guitar arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

You should keep all original packaging and provide clear photographs of:

  • the outer box;
  • the inner packaging;
  • the damaged area of the guitar;
  • any visible courier or handling damage.

This allows us to investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or make a transit claim.

Transit damage reported after this period may be more difficult to investigate, especially if the packaging has been discarded.

This section does not affect any statutory rights you may have.

30. Headstock Breaks and Impact Damage

Headstock breaks are usually caused by impact, falls, knocks or transit damage rather than a manufacturing defect.

For this reason, accidental headstock damage is not covered under warranty.

If a headstock break or other serious damage is noticed when the guitar is delivered, please report it to us within 24 hours of receipt with photographs of the guitar and packaging so we can investigate it as possible transit damage.

31. Humidity and Temperature

Guitars are made from wood, which is naturally affected by temperature and humidity.

Acoustic guitars are especially sensitive because they are made from thinner pieces of wood than solid-body electric guitars. Rapid or extreme changes in temperature or humidity can cause movement, swelling, shrinking or cracking.

We recommend storing your guitar in a stable environment of approximately:

Temperature: 22-25°C
Humidity: 45-55%

We also recommend using a hygrometer/thermometer to monitor the room where your guitar is stored.

When not in use, a guitar should ideally be kept in a hard case, as humidity is easier to control in a smaller enclosed space.

Guitar humidifiers designed for use inside a guitar case are widely available and are strongly recommended, especially during very dry or changeable conditions.

Damage caused by unsuitable temperature or humidity conditions is not covered by this warranty.

32. Signs of Humidity or Temperature Damage

Symptoms that your guitar may have been adversely affected by humidity or temperature include, but are not limited to:

  • sharp fret ends caused by the fretboard shrinking;
  • fret buzz developing over time that cannot be resolved by a normal truss rod adjustment;
  • incorrect neck angle caused by wood movement;
  • bridge lifting away from the body;
  • sunken guitar top;
  • swollen guitar top;
  • swelling or movement in the guitar back;
  • a hump on the fretboard at the neck/body joint;
  • cracks or movement in the body, neck or finish.

If your guitar develops any of these symptoms, please contact us and we will advise on the best course of action where possible.

However, Lindo Guitars cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by unsuitable storage conditions, temperature changes, humidity changes or lack of appropriate care.

33. Third-Party Assessments, Repairs and Modifications

Reports from third-party guitar technicians or guitar shops may be considered, but they do not determine the outcome of a warranty claim.

Lindo Guitars must inspect or assess the instrument before confirming whether an issue is covered by warranty.

Any third-party repairs, modifications or adjustments carried out without prior written agreement from Lindo Guitars may affect your warranty cover.

34. Unauthorised Returns

Please do not return a guitar to us without contacting us first.

If a guitar is returned to us without any information, reason for return, sender details or prior contact, we will make reasonable efforts to identify the customer and contact them.

If we are unable to identify the owner or receive instructions within 60 days of receipt, Lindo Guitars reserves the right to dispose of the item at its discretion.

35. Important Note About Legal Rights

This warranty is a voluntary warranty offered by Lindo Guitars.

It gives you additional protection but does not replace or limit your statutory rights.

Your statutory rights may give you remedies in certain circumstances, including where goods are faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality.

These rights exist separately from this warranty.

This means that even if a matter is not covered by this voluntary warranty, you may still have separate legal rights depending on the circumstances.
