A PLACE TO BEGIN.
Some guitars announce themselves loudly. The White Dove V2 begins more gently: satin white under the light, a natural wooden edge around the body and a bird in flight where an ordinary soundhole might have been.
Look a little longer and the story gathers—walnut beneath the fingers, doves travelling along the fretboard, chrome catching the light and a left-handed guitar waiting for its first chord.
The first impression
White, but never plain.
The satin-white finish lets the silhouette breathe rather than shine like a mirror. Natural wood binding draws a quiet line around the body, while the cutaway gives the left hand a clear route towards the higher frets.
Beneath the finish is a familiar acoustic foundation: a laminated spruce top, linden back and sides, and a catalpa neck with a slim C-shape profile.
Where the design takes flight
A bird where a circle should be.
The dove-shaped soundhole is cut into the spruce top itself. Follow the neck upward and a small flock appears across the solid-walnut fretboard: practical fret markers redrawn as moments of flight.
Six small turns
Measured tuning before the song begins.
The custom Lindo chrome machine heads carry an engraved “L” motif and use a 19:1 gear ratio. Each small adjustment has room to settle, giving the everyday act of tuning a smooth, controlled feel.
A two-way truss rod supports the neck beneath the surface, while the 43 mm bone nut marks the beginning of the string path.
When the room grows larger
The quiet guitar can travel further.
Played unplugged, the White Dove remains an acoustic guitar first. Beneath the saddle, a piezoelectric pickup waits for the moment the music needs to move beyond the room. The TOPS-4T preamp brings master volume, bass, middle, treble and presence controls together with a built-in chromatic tuner.
Before it leaves Bristol
Someone plays the guitar before you do.
Each left-handed White Dove V2 receives a full UK setup before dispatch. Neck relief, nut height, action, frets, electronics and final playability are checked so there is as little as possible between opening the gigbag and playing the first proper chord.
When it is time to go
A padded home between the chapters.
The supplied Lindo padded gigbag gives the guitar a place to travel, store and rest. A 9V battery for the TOPS-4T preamp and an Allen key are included, so the small practical details have already been considered.
It is a simple part of the story, but an important one: the guitar arrives with the things listed here, ready for the quiet five minutes that might turn into a song.
