The Neptune V2 begins with a modest promise: a bass line should not feel far away. Its 30-inch scale brings the first position closer, giving this 3/4-size electro-acoustic bass a compact reach without taking the character out of the low end.
Finished in matte black, it keeps its story quietly personal. The offset soundhole, gentle cutaway and dark maple details reveal themselves slowly—one note, one evening, one song at a time.
Where a line begins
Shorter steps. The same sense of purpose.
A shorter scale changes the feel of the journey along the neck. It gives the hand a more compact stretch, while the slim C-shape mahogany neck, 42 mm ABS nut and 20 frets keep the route calm and familiar.
This is not a bass made to rush the player. It is made to make room for a first line, a returning line and the small moments in between.
The first detail
A measured start at the headstock.
The alloy machine heads, finished in chrome, use a 19:1 gear ratio for fine tuning movements. They begin an instrument that favours clear lines over unnecessary noise.
Turn it over and the same quiet approach continues: considered hardware, a clean silhouette and the simple confidence of a bass designed to be used often.
The body finds its voice
The soundhole steps aside. The bass steps forward.
The Neptune’s offset soundhole gives the spruce laminate top its defining pause. Sapele back and sides form the body around it, while the cutaway keeps the upper frets within reach when the line moves onward.
Under the finish, laser-cut hollow bracing reduces internal mass so the soundboard can move more freely. It is an invisible detail, but one that belongs to the acoustic story.
The route across the neck
Dark maple. Small landmarks. A clear way forward.
The dark-dyed solid maple fretboard and bridge provide the Neptune V2 with its quietly distinctive surface. The Planet Core inlay at the 12th fret marks the centre of the journey; the details surrounding it are there to make the instrument feel familiar after the first few notes.
When the room grows dim
A quiet sign at the edge of the fretboard.
The luminous side dots are a small detail with a useful role. Charged with a torch or phone light, they offer a visible reference along the neck when a rehearsal space or stage is not at its brightest.
It is practical, not theatrical: one more way for the player to stay with the line rather than search for it.
When the room gets larger
Shape the low end, then choose where it goes.
The F-4T Bass preamp gathers a chromatic tuner, master volume, low-battery indicator and four-band EQ—bass, middle, treble and presence—into one straightforward control point. The piezoelectric pickup then carries the Neptune V2 from its acoustic voice to an amplifier, mixing desk or audio interface.
The unseen chapter
Built from the inside out.
The most important parts of an acoustic instrument are not always the most visible. The Neptune V2’s hollow bracing, spruce top and sapele body work together behind the matte-black finish, leaving the soundboard free to do the work it was made to do.

Before it leaves Lindo Guitars, every Neptune V2 receives a full UK setup. Neck relief, nut height, action, frets, electronics and final playability are checked so the first proper note feels like the beginning of a useful relationship.
