LINDO RYOKOU  •  20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

A journey you can carry.

Ryokou means “travel” in Japanese. This compact electro-acoustic guitar was designed in Bristol as a companion for the miles between the ideas: original Japanese-inspired artwork, a compact 23″ scale, and a voice ready for a quiet room, a recording setup or the next place you land.

CHAPTER ONE

Made for the journey, not just the destination

Travel size should never mean a smaller experience. The Ryokou is a 3/4-size guitar built around a 23″ scale, offering a more portable companion while keeping the playing experience considered and expressive.

Choose steel or nylon strings to suit your route, your repertoire and the sound you hear in your head.

CHAPTER TWO

Original art, made in Bristol

The Ryokou’s Japanese-inspired graphic art was created at Lindo HQ, drawing on the quiet drama of nature and the outdoors. It is an instrument designed to be played, but also one that rewards a closer look.

The solid maple fretboard carries a “soaked through” purple finish—a signature thread that runs through the entire design.

Japanese Five Elements fretboard inlays on the Lindo Ryokou

The Five Elements beneath your fingers

Japanese kanji inlays represent the Five Elements along the fretboard, leading to a maple and abalone sea-shell harmony symbol at the 12th fret. It is a small story written into the neck—one you meet again every time you play.

LUMINLAYS

Find your way when the lights go down

Glow-in-the-dark Luminlay side dots sit precisely where your eye naturally looks while playing. Charge them briefly with a phone torch or another bright light, and the edge of the fretboard remains easier to follow in low-light conditions.

It is a thoughtful little detail for sessions that carry on long after the room has softened.

BUILT FOR THE ROAD

Steady in changing places

The composite C-shaped neck is designed to resist the effects of temperature and humidity changes, helping the Ryokou maintain a consistent playing feel as your surroundings change.

Hollow bracing inside the Lindo Ryokou travel guitar

HOLLOW BRACING

Space for the sound to breathe

The hollow bracing design promotes an open, resonant acoustic voice. It works alongside the spruce top, sapele body and carefully shaped bone components to give the Ryokou a clear, natural foundation.

THE FINISHING NOTE

Complete from every angle

The Japanese-inspired artwork continues onto the headstock, where chrome 19:1 die-cast machine heads provide precise tuning. It is a considered visual finish to an instrument whose details all belong to the same story.

BS3M ADVANCED SOUND CONTROL

From a quiet room to the stage

The BS3M system blends a piezoelectric undersaddle pickup with a soundhole microphone. Its built-in chromatic tuner, 3-band EQ, phase button and notch filter give practical control over your amplified sound.

Dual 1/4″ jack and XLR outputs allow connection to an amplifier, PA, mixing desk or audio interface.
