Designed in Bristol, UK, the Lindo Ryokou Electro Acoustic Travel Guitar showcases a Japanese theme centred around the beauty of nature and the outdoors (“Ryokou” is Japanese for “Travel”!). Through original art created at the Lindo HQ, its graphic art finish is vivid and eye-catching, offering something fresh and appealing to Japanese art fans. As a travel-size instrument, it’s a convenient 3/4 size with a 23-inch scale length, making it ideal for musicians on the go.
The Lindo Ryokou boasts a unique, “soaked through” purple solid maple fretboard. Adorned with Japanese kanji inlays representing the five elements and a maple and abalone sea shell harmony symbol at the 12th fret, it’s designed to inspire. The body features a matching solid maple bridge with sapele back and sides, paired with a laminated Spruce top. A baked maple binding on the body and fretboard not only offer robust construction but also enhance the wood’s natural beauty. A bone nut and intonation-compensated saddle ensure superior sound quality and playability.
Its composite neck, resistant to temperature and humidity changes, guarantees consistent performance. The C-shaped neck profile caters to comfort and ease of play. A standout feature of the Lindo Ryokou is the luminous side dots, which can be charged with a flashlight, ensuring visibility on stage and never missing a note.
The Lindo Ryokou’s hollow bracing, specifically, plays a pivotal role in refining its acoustic qualities. This innovative approach to bracing involves laser-cutting each brace within the guitar to significantly reduce the instrument’s internal mass. This reduction allows the top of the guitar, or soundboard, to vibrate more freely, resulting in an enhanced resonance and volume. The hollow nature of the braces also contributes to a more nuanced tonal balance, allowing for a wider dynamic range and subtler harmonic overtones.
The headstock echoes the guitar’s body with matching Japanese-themed artwork. Precision is key with its diecast chrome machine heads, boasting a 19:1 gear ratio for exact tuning. This attention to detail reinforces the Lindo Ryokou’s commitment to quality and aesthetic appeal.
With the remarkable BS3M Blend preamplifier onboard, the Lindo Ryokou ensures an unmatched audio experience.
