Some guitars begin in the room. The Sahara Steel begins with the thought of leaving it: a compact 3/4-size electro-acoustic with a 23-inch scale, steel strings and a graphic surface that carries the landscape with it.
Its spruce top and sapele back and sides sit beneath desert-inspired artwork. Turquoise runs along the solid-maple playing surface, while the nautical star at the twelfth fret becomes a small marker on the route ahead.

Light phosphor-bronze strings bring the familiar feel of a steel-string acoustic into the shorter 23-inch format. Beneath them, a spruce top works with sapele back and sides, keeping the instrument recognisably acoustic while the dimensions remain ready for travel.
The bridge is solid maple with the same soaked-through turquoise stain used on the fretboard. It is a practical part of the construction, but also where the Sahara colour story first meets the strings.
From the first fret upward

The solid-maple fretboard is stained through in turquoise, giving the playing surface its own identity rather than treating it as a background detail. Pyramid markers lead towards the abalone-and-maple star, while the straight string-pull headstock continues the body artwork at the far end.
When the room grows quiet
Small landmarks remain.
The composite-wood neck includes a two-way truss rod and meets the compact body at a carefully shaped heel. Along the fretboard edge, luminous side dots can be charged with a light before playing, offering visible position references when the surrounding light is low.
They are modest details, but that is their point: the Sahara keeps its bold artwork on the surface and its practical guidance close to the player.
Two ways to hear the same instrument
The soundboard meets the signal path.
The BS3M system brings together two sources: an under-saddle piezo and a microphone positioned inside the soundhole. The onboard blend lets those sources be combined before the signal leaves through either the standard jack or balanced XLR output.
Nothing in this section replaces the acoustic instrument above it. The electronics simply give the Sahara a clear route into an amplifier, recording interface or stage connection when one is needed.
Before the road begins
Prepared in the Lindo workshop.
Before dispatch, each Sahara Steel receives a professional setup from the Lindo guitar technician in Bristol. Neck relief, string height and general playing condition are checked so the compact scale arrives as a considered instrument rather than simply a smaller one.
A tune-up after transit may still be needed; the important part is that the guitar has already been inspected and adjusted before it starts its journey.
