27 reviews for Lindo Black Matte ACB Electro Acoustic Bass Guitar and Padded Gigbag
Rosso –
I started playing electric bass about a year ago with a used “cheapy”, which I get on OK with, but wanted a bass that didn’t need plugging in every time, especially as my wife also uses my practice amp for theater rehearsals! Having looked around and read reviews I settled on the Matte Black Lindo Electro-Acoustic Bass. Ordered on Tuesday, turned up on Thursday – super quick delivery. Quick tuning session and I have to say I am highly impressed with the tone and ease of playing – even for my old fingers! I am certain that by the time I’ve done a little fettling to get the action exactly how I like it, it will become my ‘weapon of choice’ for all those long practice sessions!! Many thanks Lindo!

Decent instrument for the price. The neck needs some adjustment. Saying that plays well and sounds good.

Great bass for the price

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son. The shop were fantastic to deal with. I made an error with my credit card details and they were most patient. Once they were aware it was for a Christmas gift, they rushed it out and I got it 3 days later in Ireland so cannot fault them at all. The sound from this guitar punches way above its price tag according to my son. I have listened to him play with it and I have to be honest it does sound very good. All in all very happy with this purchase.

Brilliant sounding bass, perfect for me to take to uni! Slight issue with a bit of the gluing at the top of the neck, but it will be fine for a long while

I am an occasional bassist usually using a Squier Jazz that hurts my shoulders after a couple of hours. I also play in pub acoustic sessions. So I wanted something less painful and more versatile. I looked at several options up to about £250 and opted for the Lindo based mainly on specification and on reviews from other buyers. There are 3 options – natural, black and white. I would have opted for the natural version, but they were out of stock, so i went for the black (see below).
I ordered on 26 Nov and got an estimated delivery date of 4 Dec, which was fine considering it was free delivery. So I was surprised to get a Parcelpost card through the door on 28th saying they had tried to deliver a parcel. They left it, instead, at the local village post office and I was able to pick it up the following day. I thought it must be something else, so I was delighted when the postmistress handed over my new guitar, safely packed and undamaged. I got a phone call the same day from Lindo checking whether I had received the guitar and whether was pleased with it. Unfortunately, I was not in to take the call, so I will record my thanks for the excellent service here.
When I opened the box, I was pleased with the look of the guitar. When I ordered, I was not entirely sure about the matt black finish, fearing that it might show fingermarks too easily, but a few days’ use shows that I need not have worried. It doesn’t seem to be a problem.
The action was a bit high, but using the included key it was a few moment’s job to adjust it to something approaching what I wanted. I will give it a while to bed in at that level and make finer adjustments in due course.
I expected the sound to be a bit bright, as other reviewers had found, but I’ve found it has settled in pretty well straight away. I played it in earnest for the first time last night at band practice and I was very pleased with the results and so were the band (which is the main thing I guess).
The guitar comes with a gig bag which is a bit basic and flimsy so I will need to invest in something a bit more substantial to protect it in the rough and tumble of the bars.
Otherwise, I am chuffed to bits with the guitar and delighted with the prompt delivery and service.
Mr Matthew Eccles –
I had shopped around for some time for an acoustic bass, and although was dubious about buying an instrument that I had not seen in person and tried out first, I decided to go for the Lindo, mainly because the price was mid-range and I loved the look of it. I don’t regret this decision at all. It arrived very quickly (I ordered it on Wednesday, it dispatched on Thursday and arrived on Friday morning!), the bass itself is pretty much mint condition, with just a little bit of scuffing (is that even a word?) along the neck, this is minor and you can barely see it. All in all very pleased.

Delivery was to be 24/25th November.my new Lindo bass guitar arrived on 22nd of November.Great! I have never played bass guitar before, but on opening the box, the guitar was already set up. I had a rough idea of bass lines, and immediately picked up on them. The tone and finish of the guitar are excellent, with the exception of a small amount of black paint missing on the inside of the sound hole. Overall, I’m delighted.

Very pleased with my new addition, it looks good, sounds good and let’s me practice bass guitar at home. I went to The Cromer Folk Festival fringe event this year and enjoyed the ‘join in jam nights…next year with the Lindo I will join in with them.
