The Lindo Feeling Electro Acoustic Guitar – Design and Concept

Designed in-house at Lindo Guitars in Bristol, UK, the Lindo Feeling is mainly a sapele wood construction. Sapele gives this guitar its gorgeous characteristic tones and style. As well as the beautiful wood grain figuring, look closer and you’ll find the decorative laser-engraved body flame detail. The open-pore satin finish is a pleasure to experience and was specifically chosen to give this guitar plenty of “air”.

What a Feeling

The body of the guitar is an all sapele construction which, combined with the nato neck, produces a well-balanced depth of sound. The Lindo Feeling responds very well to fingerstyle techniques and strummed chords. The Venetian cutaway gives players full use of the 20 fret neck and keeps the body nice and light.

The contrasting white detailing of the body and neck binding and the bridge and fretboard inlays marries the whole design together. The bone nut and saddle also continue this theme as well as producing excellent string tone and accurate intonation.

Feels Natural

The headstock has a sapele veneer which displays the classic Lindo metallic laser-cut logo. To compliment the headstock logo, you’ll find the smooth-action chrome machine heads. The black walnut fretboard has elliptical inlays which make this design a real eye-catcher.

The action on the Lindo Feeling is setup to be light and low (around 2.5mm at 12th fret). This allows you to hold chords down and play faster up and down the neck. The C-shape neck profile is extremely user-friendly for both strumming accompaniment and serious fingerstyle players.

Feeling Electric?

The Lindo Feeling plays and sounds like a great acoustic guitar but has the added benefit of an integrated preamplifier. The TOPS-4T preamp unit includes a tuner display on the backlit LCD. There are LED indicators to show whether the string note is sharp, flat on in-tune. The piezoelectric pickup under the bridge saddle provides a direct source to an amplifier or audio interface via the jack or XLR output.

EQ and explore

The preamp also includes an equalizer with bass, middle, treble and presence control sliders. These can be adjusted within a range of +/- 12dB, which means it’s easy to find the right tone to cut through a mix or boost a lead section. There is also a master volume dial and a low battery indicator.

Playing live, recording at home or in a professional studio, the Lindo Feeling will inspire you to create those warm acoustic tones.

As a guitarist and musician for 8 years, I was always skeptical with buying musical instruments on the internet. With the technological advances of you buying products and getting them delivered to your door rather than knowing the people in the shop and having to make your way down there to see what instrument you want and need, it would only be logical to buy at least one of the instruments you need on the internet. However, as you can agree: it’s best to get a feel of the product and see if it fits you. Nevertheless, I decided to take a risk for this Lindo ‘Feeling’ Series Electro Acoustic Guitar (especially when it was a little more than half price from the original price of £300) and seriously…

I have never been anymore happier with choosing this product.

The neck is comfortable enough for you to play on (rather than the thick, sturdy necks you get with other guitars in this range), the sound of the guitar is rich, bright, acoustic sound but also has a balance of bass/treble/middle. And that’s just acoustically without connecting the guitar to a amplifier.

When connected to an amp, the sound is the same but with the sound quality it has: you don’t want it to be different. It means whatever you play acoustically with a microphone will sound close to when you connect it into the amp. Which for budding musicians and performers, it’s a major bonus. A fault which some of the higher range guitars have fault with. It also has an XLR connection as well as a 1/4 inch connection which allows you to get a recording connection whether you are in a professional recording studio or you are inserting the guitar sound into a sound system. It’s heaven for music geeks and nerds. Also it has a built in guitar tuner and preamp which allows you to tune the guitar on the go. And with a bright light blue display, you can see in any condition on stage.

A guitar that can capture all the modern capabilities while still keeping to traditional sounds and beautiful qualities is something beginner, intermediate, and expert guitarists desire for. This is the first Lindo guitars that I have bought or even played before so I cannot compare this to any of the other products on the Lindo market.

Nonetheless, you should press that add to basket button and purchase as soon as possible. A perfect Christmas present and a perfect present for any guitarist out there. You won’t be disappointed with this product. Seriously.

I’ve been really impressed with this guitar.

I was a little unsure when I purchased it (often an Electro Acoustic for under £200 can be a gamble), but I have not been dissapointed.
It is light, easy to play, with a nice low action too.
The look of this guitar really is something, and the electrics are far better than I was expecting. The XLR tuner is accurate and easy to use, and the EQ is child’s play.

I have done 2 gigs with this guitar, and not been let down at all. It stays in tune, and you can really sculpt the sound with the EQ.

Personally I do find the factory strings a little tough, so I changed them to a set of Elixir Acoustic strings.

All in all, if you are debating whether or not to buy this guitar – I’d say you will not be disspointed. Particularly for the price. I have several Epiphone & Ibanez Electro acoustic guitars, but I was just looking for a guitar I could put in the back of the car and take out and about to Open Mic nights and Gigs. This guitar was a great buy.

This guitar is great value. Looks really nice and is really comfortable to play. I would also suggest changing the strings asap (i use Ernie Ball Earthwood Light Acoustic Guitar Strings This gives the guitar a much nicer sound. Really can’t complain for a Guitar bought for less than £200 though.

Delivery was prompt and the guitar was in perfect condition. The guitar has a matt finish, giving it a stylish look. The machine heads are of good quality and move easily. The build quality exceeds that of some of the other, more expensive guitars I own. The action is slightly high, but for me perfectly acceptable.I put on a new set of strings(Martin Custom light), which really bring out the whole potential of the guitar. The tone is brilliant and full, a real delight.

The built-in tuner is very accurate and easy to read, making tuning a snip. The equaliser too works well for those who want to use it. Connecting the guitar to an amp is easy, the socket is solidly fastened and in the right place. Unless one is gigging, this guitar does not need an amplfier, it produces a rich bass right through to crisp trebles and for me it is this richness of sound that makes this an outstanding guitar. However, amplify it, add a little reverb, maybe a touch of chorus – really nice.

I would recommend this guitar to anyone. It is outstanding value for money. The manufacturer has a good support section on their website, well worth a look, especially for anyone who is new to guitar playing and instrument care.

One last comment: I have always had my guitars set up by a professional. It is well worth the money. Hope this helps. Have fun.

A fair guitar and kit for the price. Good finish and mostly accurate manufacture. Had a slight problem with the strings -too buzzy, so changed them. Also needed allen key adjustment to bring the strings closer to the fretboard. But the adjustment WAS available, so that’s good. All in all a good buy.

Bought this guitar as a surprise for my husbands birthday and not knowing anything about guitars at all i bought this one on the basis of the good reviews. Looks fantastic and sounds even better my husband loves it!! He’s finding it really easy to play and the built in electric tuner is very easy to use. Fantastic product. Would definatly recommend.

I am playing guitar only just under two years and I am making steady progress !! (I think)I have a very good acoustic Tanglewood and very happy with it. Recently I thought it would be nice to try an electric acoustic but did not want to mess with my Tanglewood so I looked around for a reasonable electro acoustic online. I found the Lindo “Feeling” on Amazon and the price was reduced by 50% so I took the plunge and ordered one. I placed my ordere on 26th. and my new Lindo “Feeling” was at my door on 29th. and I live in Ireland. Great service. The guitar is everything I was looking for and really sound good and looks like an electric baby of my Tanglewood.:-)) Beautiful dark wood with good feel. I found the action way too high and although a friend reduced it a slight amount I am going to bring it to a pro to fine tune it for me as I did with my other one. Overall my initial reaction is very positive and very satisfied at both service and product. Should it turn out any different later I will post a review.

bought the guitar not expecting much more than expensive firewood but needed a cheap electro acoustic to practice on and this one fit the bill especially for the price.

i use an apx4a yamaha for gigging (cost roughly £500 when they were released)

this guitar really does match up to the quality im thinking about using it for gigging too. its came nicely boxed with a lot of extras i needed to buy anyway (capo spare strings pick strap and gig bag)

when i picked the guitar up it feels quite light and looks thin, but it really does sound nice, has a sweet sound haven’t plugged it in yet but i imagine that will sound just as good. it has quite a low action perfect for beginners, and seems like the quality control in cheap guitars has really got a lot better in recent years.

this is the only lindo guitar Ive had so cannot speak for any of the other models but this one hasn’t let me down and has surprised me a lot.

needs more reviews though so if you read this review and decide to buy it put your review up or else people will be buying the guitar blind.

    thanks lindo!!! 🙂
