The Lindo LDG-7X – Designed in Bristol, U.K, by Lindo Guitars
The LDG-7X is designed in the U.K by Lindo Guitars in Bristol and pushes the 7-string guitar concept even further with its clever use of woods and unique appearance. Lindo Guitars has created a high-quality, visually-striking and diverse sounding instrument.
The neck and fretboard are satin-finished maple which is ideal for quick chord-changes and solos across the breadth of the fretboard. The medium frets will suit all playing styles and with a fixed string-through bridge and 18:1 ratio machine-heads – alternate and drop tuning is a breeze.
Feel, Dynamics, Tone
The gloss-finish tilia body is deep enough to ensure great sustain but carved in the right places to ensure player comfort and easy access to the 24th fret at the neck heel. The contrasting quilted maple veneer, which is finished in a semi-transparent turquoise burst, with the gunmetal grey-finished hardware and cream body binding adds an ultra-modern feel to this guitar.
Along with the high-quality tonewoods used across the LDG-7X, the high-quality components and CNC-wound pickups produce extremely bright clean tones – as well as very dynamic and focused distorted tones.
If you are looking to make the transition from 6 to 7 strings, the LDG-7X is the next step for the progressive guitarist. Enjoy the challenge, become a better guitarist and go your own way with the Lindo LDG-7X.

Better than the big name brands
I’ve been looking to upgrade my 7 string for a while & the Lindo LDG-7X really caught my eye. It looks even better in person.
After watching the demos on youtube & reading the reviews online I decided to go for it. Especially with the return policy.
The shape is perfect to fit the body & the neck is fully accessible up to the high notes. The neck is incredibly quick with its satin finish.
The tones are perfect for my needs for playing metal & rock with really loud bright pickups & it holds low tunings really well. This will definitely be my full time guitar now.
It plays & sounds soon much better than many of the big name brands in the same price bracket in my opinion.
The only downside would be the pickups could have been finished a little better although it really doesn’t make any difference to the sound.

Full disclosure, Lindo give a free set of strings to those who provide a review, but fair play to them, them don’t say it has to be positive. But it is, this guitar is my prize possession. I’m pretty much a beginner rather than an aging Djent. But I share my guitar collection with my son who is way more advanced and loves the Youtube heroes from the Metal genre.
For me, I’m exploring the extra tonal range the extra string gives at the low end. And my thinking was, it’s a beautiful instrument, if I never progress and it just hangs on the wall then it’s like a Monet in similar shades from his lilly pond portfolio. As a novice I still love the feel and the way it plays.
But my son shared that he liked the silky feel of how it plays and he was shredding it from the start. He would have been just as happy if it was stealth black and shaped like something you’d use to vanquish a medieval foe. But in fairness he has warmed to my taste in the guitar’s appearance.
As a value for money sortie into the world of extra range guitars it’s unbeatable in my view. And on the subject of value for money, I replaced an acoustic my boy traded and acquired a bass from the Lindo range as a result of being so enamoured of this one. My lyrics on those will be waxed in due course.

This is my second guitar I have recently bought from Lindo. Recently I took ownership of the Lindo LDG-7X seven string electric guitar and what a beauty this guitar is. I have been looking at it for the past year of whether to go with it or go with the likes of Fender or someone else. Well I took the leap into buying this guitar and it was worth every penny for it. Never looked back once I had it arrived. Its as good as Fender and other guitar makers out there.
The colour and pattern that Lindo chose for the LDG-7X is awesome with the nice shiny gloss on the front and back of the body. Its more beautiful in person when you get it. The satin feel maple neck is great your hand doesn’t get stuck when your moving up and down on it like some guitars do till you break them in. Your hand glides so you can get to them notes quickly. The Humbuckers are great. Rich and clean tones coming from them when playing. The Bridge is great especially those who like to do palm mute on the strings. The sound is terrific. The nice logo and headstock is great as well. The tone and volume knobs are close to your hand so you can access them very quickly. It feels nice and firm of a guitar and not too heavy if your standing for a long time playing.
The team at Lindo were very helpful again to me on my 2nd guitar bought from them and the guitar was delivered to me well packed so nothing happened to it. They kept in touch from my purchase to delivery and even answered a couple of questions I had about it. Most firms don’t go out of their way to help a customer with any questions when you buy from them. But Lindo Guitars is a company that does. I am glad I chose this electric guitar. This is my 2nd guitar I have recently bought from them. And I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone. Whether your moving to 7 strings or bringing on a 6 string. A note to 6 sting beginners I would just jump at it rather than later go out and buy a 7 string when you have learned the 6 string. If someone was to ask me if I would trade my LDG-7X for a different model or manufacture. The answer is No way. Would I recommend this and other guitars from Lindo? Too right I would highly recommend. You wont be disappointed by this guitar or any other from Lindo Guitars. And the best thing to know is it was all designed, manufactured and built in the UK by a great firm and they ship all over too.

I had been looking at this guitar for a while, and I decided to bite the bullet and buy it when I saw it in the sale.
This guitar is worth every penny of the full £499 price and then some. The finish is a beautiful gloss, the neck is slightly thicker than I was expecting but smooth and fast enough to shred. The pickups are great too, they’re very clear, on both overdriven and clean channels, yet not lacking in any output for the high-gain sounds. The tuners seem solid even with lots of string bending, and the toggle is quiet.
Overall, massively impressed, definitely worth your time if you’re looking at £500-£800 guitars, plays as well as my more expensive ones, sings just as well them too.
I will post an un-boxing video and tone-test video on YouTube if you’re looking at buying.

This guitar is nice. However, there were a few issues that I encountered with it. It arrived freezing cold as expected. But that isn’t all. On the back of the guitar is a bit of damage, luckily not to the finish, but on the wood. There’s no bumps or holes, it’s flat.
But this guitar was worth every penny other than that.
It has nice clean pickups. A very nice paint job as you would expect. The design is also very good. I find it’s very comfortable to play. And it’s very light.

I had the pleasure of owning the LDG-7 for a month or so to see what I could come up with. I enjoyed playing this guitar and got a good idea of its capabilities. The first thing that strikes you is the looks. This guitar is simply gorgeous and is in league with my owned Vigier guitars which have 3 times the price tag. I like custom paint jobs and I like natural wood finished so to have a mixture of both was a great idea. The build quality seemed very high and the guitar felt sturdy. I was able to adjust the action very low. I felt it easy to play although struggled with some bits but i believe this was due to the heavy string gauge. I am a 6 string player using 9-42’s and this had at least 10’s on them. With that said the guitar never went out of tune or snapped strings even when 4 semitone bends where used consistently. Tone wise the guitar seemed to have everything I needed. The bridge tone was a bit heavy but lowering the pickup helped this. Using a mixture of the two pickups I was able to get some nice clean tones. All in all I would give this guitar a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I don’t play seven strings or listen much to that genre so the fact I can pick up that guitar and start knocking out riffs similar to Periphery and Animals as Leaders must say something of the guitar. Price wise it is very reasonable and when they had it on sale it made it a steal! As with anything customer service is important and Lindo have always excelled at that. The only reason I didn’t buy it myself is that I have to much 6 string work on and just wouldn’t get time to play it. I also have a Lindo Bass and Acoustic guitar that I use both professionally and for fun.

Outstanding value for money. Versatile guitar that is made for heavy riffage. Cleans up nicely with a great output to though. Really happy with the guitar and I’m enjoying the inspiration this guitar has given me with the flexibility of having been that extra string.

I bought this guitar direct from the shop in Bristol about 6 weeks ago, and it has since overtaken my Schecter Hellraiser to become my main guitar.
The body is Considerably lighter than i’m used to, despite it being quite a large guitar, which helps spare my shoulder and back for long periods of playing while standing. Bridge, Machine heads and volume and tone knobs are a black chrome finish, and though not branded are comparable in quality to the Schecter.
The quality of finish is excellent, even more so at this price point – the neck is unvarnished but super smooth and sculpted for fast playing. I’m currently playing this via my computer with POD HD500 pedal and Yamaha HS5 monitors, and the sound is awesome. Rich and heavy bottom end for those djenty-style riffs and sweet, clear highs for that sexy lead.
Looks-wise, this guitar is a real head turner, and gets plenty of attention from the guys on my Uni course studying guitar at BIMM. The body colour is gorgeous, and looks even better in the flesh than the photos. The LGD7x has taken pride of place in my guitar collection, trumping the likes of my N.J series Warlock and Randy Rhoades EX, and I would wholeheartedly recommend you get hold of one.
