Designed by us here at Lindo Guitars in Bristol, U.K, the Neptune has to be one of the most radical guitar concepts that we have produced so far. Inspired by minimal art and sculpture, it is ultra-modern and timeless in style.
The offset soundhole is a distinctive design and produces a “true sound” from the player’s perspective. It provides a tight and clear bass response which is sure to impress those with a musical ear. And those without.
In combination with the mahogany neck, the spruce laminate top provides warm and clear notes. The solid walnut fretboard adds another strong tonewood into the mix and features cream ABS binding with inlaid fret dots. The Lindo Neptune produces a very dynamic tonal range and is suitable for fingerstyle and plectrum players.
As a result of the piezoelectric pickup and F-4T preamp’s LCD and LEDs, tuning is a breeze. On the pluck of a string, LED indicators tell you if the note is sharp or flat. The LCD shows the string note and indicator needle to help accurately tune each string.
The F-4T preamp includes controls for bass, middle, treble, presence and a master volume. The Lindo Neptune is ideal for the home studio enthusiast and professional gigging musician as well as complete beginners.
Output-wise, you have the option of a standard jack or a balanced XLR. This means you can connect to an amplifier whilst simultaneously being connected to a PA or mixing desk. These features make the Neptune ideal for the home studio enthusiast and professional gigging musician.

26 reviews for Lindo Neptune Matt Black Electro Acoustic Guitar with F-4T Preamplifier
NAC –
I did a lot of research to work out how to move from ukelele to guitar and found the Lindo guitars unique, modern looking and great sound. There isn’t a lot of videos on them, but the two I saw convinced me that this would be the guitar to begin my return to learning music. Also, previous reviews convinced me that it would be good for a beginner. As with any acoustic action, strings and sound are all crucial – as well as price. I think the Lindo Neptune has all of these aspects and would recommend it to anyone.

I’m about 6 months into lessons and thought it’s about time I bought a guitar rather than the one I borrow from my wife. I chose the Neptune and it was a great choice. It sounds amazing, is beautifully made and finished.

I purchased this guitar few days ago. It was security packaged so there no worries about damage whilst in transit.
I have started to play for a few hours now, and I have to say that I’m incredibly amazed by it. Excellent guitar for a price like this, not only beautiful to look at but even a great sound.
I’m not a professional, so it is ideally even for beginners.

Great guitar for the price, amazing service. I’m an experienced guitarist but needed a budget guitar to keep in my office. The build quality and playability is incredible for the price. Very happy with the purchase.

A great sounding guitar which is comfortable to hold and a smooth action. Lovely deep tones from the revolutionary design. Great to have an inbuilt tuner, and the electrics so far have been bulletproof. Nice to have dual connectors too for the output.
I got serial number 102. Gutted as I should have ordered mine a little earlier and got a sub-100 number as I think this is going to be a classic in the future! ?

Oooh, the tone!
I wanted a second acoustic just for convenience more than anything, but good acoustic tone was an important consideration as my hollow-body arch-top “jazz-box”, is a bit disappointing in that regard. I discovered Lindo online and liked what I was seeing and reading and long story short (well, a bit!) I eventually settled on the black Neptune; I would have chosen a more natural finish but understandably with what was probably a relatively small guitar manufacturing run, it’s a case of “any colour you like, as long as its black” (I believe Henry Ford stated this in his marketing of the famous model-T). The black finish is matt and looks well, but matt black tends to mark easy. The paintwork is good and wipes clean fairly well, but not being sure of the type of paint it is, I would refrain from using any strong cleaning agents. If you use any products like fastfret or Dunlop 65 ultraglide, you are inevitably going to end up with obvious smudges on the paintwork.
This guitar is quite light and I would be the first to equate lightness with lack-of-robustness, but I don’t get the impression that this is the case with the Neptune; it’s just pleasantly lightweight. Couple this quality with the back-pack type shoulder straps on the accompanying gig-bag and you have a very portable guitar whether hiking or biking. I love the head-stock and the smooth tuners. The overall design is very appealing and having at first considered the far more expensive limited edition, I was pleased to note that the much more affordable black version has an oval sound hole which is much more aesthetically pleasing than the round one on the special edition. The black walnut fret-board is lovely and with a bit of lemon oil (pleasant smell) or Danish oil (not so pleasant), it will darken nicely. The neck feels identical in dimensions to my 5-times-the-price jazz-box which helps me adapt from one guitar to the other faster. At first I found the location of the neck end guitar strap lug, a bit perturbing as it (as well as the strap it secures) comes into contact with your palm as you access the higher frets, but…probably something I will get used to, and if not, I can relocate the strap lug. The overall finish is good but not perfect, nor would I expect it to be on a £149 guitar; suffice to say it’s not perfect on my other two more expensive guitars either. I won’t dwell on any finishing issues because the pluses on this guitar by far outweigh any minuses. Pluses: a good quality padded gig-bag, a new, sealed 9 volt battery for the preamp, guitar strap, capo, picks, string winder and my Neptune arrived with new strings freshly fitted.
Even without the preamp, I would be happy with this purchase, but the preamp is a definite plus (same model as on the much more expensive special edition) and produces very nice amplification. A few reviewers have commented on short battery life and I wonder if this preamp is tapping the battery at a constant, albeit low level; if in doubt pop the battery holder out when not being used for a while. Now to the quality I like best…the acoustic tone; it’s wonderful and by far superior to my 5-times-the-price jazz-box, (although it has to be said that I do use flat-wound strings on it, and they are noted for being duller than “rounds”, a trade-off I am glad to take on the chin, because the string noise from rounds, especially on an acoustic, bugs me…a lot!. Strumming my Neptune immediately takes me back to the wonderful tone I had on my first acoustic, back in the early 80s, a Yamaha FG-345. To what extent the lovable tone is due to the sound-hole placement or whatever else, I am unsure, but I don’t need to know; I’ve got the tone I was hoping for and that’s enough. I have no hesitation in recommending and yes, like all the other reviewers, I have nothing but praise for the Lindo member of staff that helped me with my purchase. No regrets on this purchase at all.

This is an excellent guitar for a price like this. Bass notes are pronounced, and tonal quality is versatile. The design is unusual and is obviously the standout feature during a stage performance. This guitar is an excellent company for both homely jamming as well as for professional stage performances.
