Appealing to players of all levels, the Lindo PDB Series of electric bass guitars is becoming increasingly popular in the musical community. Its versatile nature, quality of tone and unique design are what makes it a first choice for players looking for something different.
Tonewood and Features
The PDB Series has a basswood body which, although compact, has no trouble producing some big midrange and treble sounds – with a strong low-end too. The basswood body is lightweight yet provides excellent sustain and is, tonally, very well-balanced. The neck is maple which provides a bright tone with a tight low-end so when you are pumping out big volumes, the sound remains focused. The fretboard with ‘fly-away’ dove inlays is solid walnut, which coupled with the maple and basswood, provides a warm tone and with its open-pore finish it feels very natural to play.
Playability
The PDB Series has a lovely low action so gives the player the feeling of ease when playing. The double-cutaway allows you to reach further up the neck for more intricate bass lines.
Hardware
The pickups on the PDB Series are a high output set based on the classic ‘p-bass’ design. The adjustable bridge is die-cast chrome and has individual saddle pieces for full intonation and height adjustment. The machine heads are also die-cast with a chrome finish and provide stable and accurate tuning. There are matching chrome knobs for volume and tone adjustment which make it very easy to create great sounds you can hear across genres such as pop, jazz, rock and heavy metal.

5**** review from myself (& partner, who the bass was for)
Mick Watkins
Once again, Lindo, (who in the last few months have sold me my beautiful Purple Swallow, Zodiac, ORG- SL and Willow electro- acoustic Guitars) have sold me a top class Guitar.
This one is a Bass Guitar, purchased by myself due to the fact that I didn’t have a modern design split- single pickup Bass Guitar; (I had already purchased a PJ design Bass but didn’t own a modern design “Straight- Simple” Bass Guitar until I bought this Beauty…
This Bass Guitar handles like an expensive “Boutique” instrument. It doesn’t rattle or buzz; it played straight out of the box with only a tune- up necessary to get it working. It plays beautifully without a set- up or string change required; this Guitar will probably play on the OEM strings for the rest of my working life.
The instrument is slightly heavier than my Eastcoast PJ Bass but the intonation and body sustain are far superior; with some reverb on the amplifiers I used to test this Guitar (Roland Bass Micro cube and Roland Cube 60) arpeggiated bass runs are dead simple. I can thumb stop or palm stop this Bass with no problems whatsoever, the Split- Single coil pickup has a high output and the controls are linear rather than logarithmic; there is none of the “on or off” problems in controlling the volume and tone controls that I have encountered in much more expensive instruments.
The Guitar looks as good as its playability; why have boring Dot Markers when you can have doves on the fingerboard?
The neck is slightly wider than the type used on my Eastcoast Fretless and SC- 300 models, which is excellent for playability (despite the fact my Eastcoast instruments are exceptional in their own right.)
Definitely one of my favorite Bass Guitars (and believe me, I own a large collection of mostly “Classical Design” Bass Guitars); I really love my Lindo Dove. Many thanks to Lindo Guitars for ALL the Guitars that they have supplied to me in the last couple of months. I’m now set up for proper recording during this summer…
Mr O.R.M.E.
I bought this to replace my previous bass, which was £199 new and had become noisy when recording. I didn’t expect a lot for the money but previous good reviews swung it for me and I made the purchase. I am really pleased with the bass. It’s got better intonation than my previous bass, is in tune all up the neck and quiet when recording. It’s well made and looks cool and gothic with the purple and black body. The clincher for the look is the dove shaped inlays on the fretboard. I’m sad really but those little details make it for me. The only thing which might improve it would be to maybe have a slightly more expensive version with more pickup switching combinations. That’s the only thing that my old bass had that this doesn’t. That being said, for a beginner or someone on a budget, I am really happy with this. It looks cool and does what it says on the tin. I love it and it’s far better than my old bass.
Mr. R. Lee
A superb instrument which looks good and sounds even better. Worth every penny and arrived in less than 48 hours.

guitar plays realy well after tuning up.
I bought this guitar as I play ordinary guitar and fancied a try at bass playing without spending a fortune as this had good reports. I can say I am realy impressed as its not too heavy and seems to be comfortable to hold when playing. And plays well. I have not played a expensive bass so cannot compare but it works for me .

Love this bass guitar.
For a low end bass it looks and sounds amazing.
Mrs Harvey
Love it… great value for money. This is my daughters second Lindo guitar. She really rates them!

I have been impressed with my Purple Dove bass. It has a good sound, and is comfortable to play. For the price, I’d call it a winner.

This is a beautiful instrument and sounds fantastic. Truly unbelievable quality for the price. The doves inlaid into the fretboard add a very nice touch. 10/10 would buy again.

I am a total novice to guitar playing and thought i would buy a reasonably priced bass to try and learn to play, the guitar was delivered next day by Amazon. The guitar itself looks amazing and feels like very good quality, i am busy using Rocksmith to learn how to play and find this guitar very comfortable to hold and it delivers exactly the sound i am looking for. A good friend who has played guitars for years had a try on it and he said it sounds better than some of his more expensive guitars. Overall i am really pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend this guitar to anyone in my position who is just learning. I could have went and spent a lot more and got a lot less.

Bought as a present for my 13 yr old Daughter, She absolutely loves it, it is very well made and set up out of the box, and she says the action is just right. She also loves the design of the Doves going up the fretboard. It arrived safely and in good condition although it could have been packaged a little better.
Mrs. M. Standen
What a beautiful guitar. Bought for my sons 21st and he loves it. Beautiful inlays of the doves. Love it!,,,,

Beautifully designed bass. This was my first bass and it is very easy to play and is so light. The tone is exquisite.. Going to enjoy so many different styles for many a year with this one.
David Cutting
I am very impressed with this bass guitar. The finish is impressive and the sound quality is very satisfying. I bought it for my wife to learn on and it is ideal – not too heavy with a comfortable neck and acceptable action (string height). Purple bass with dove inlays – what’s not to love?
Peter P.
Bought this as a present for the wife, she loves it and practices every day so she can play in a church worship band.

Appearance is A+ Beautifully designed and finished in a unique artistic manner. I like that the amp jack is on the side. The bass sound is good on max setting.
Richard Lines
I made a very conscious decision when buying this bass. I’d read all the reviews from others who had purchased it & after taking in the pros & cons from some critical buyers, I decided to take the plunge.
Firstly, 1 reviewer had pointed out that the pickups weren’t as strong as he’d hoped, well, I can honestly say, I find them more than adequate for my purposes, add that to a decent amp, & it’s great.
I did, however, find, like another reviewer, the strings were, unlike a nice deep tone, were a little twangy. But, having played it for a few days now, the deep tone has arrived, the strings just needed to bed in, so I wouldn’t worry too much about that.
All in all, it’s a great bass, finished really well in the deep purple & the dove inserts really set it off & apart from my other basses. So, if anyone, like me, are unsure about this product, please don’t be, it’s a great piece of kit for a very reasonable price, well worth spending hard earned money on.

I bought this for my eleven-year-old daughter as her first instrument. She had been receiving bass lessons for a while, so we knew that she was committed to the instrument. I wanted to buy her something that was good quality as having a cheap instrument can, of course, hinder your progress. But at the same time, I didn’t want to spend too much. This bass is magnificent. She thinks it’s cool in the way it looks and it plays beautifully and holds it’s tuning very well. We love it!

I got this as a Christmas present I could choose as I desperately wanted to learn without having to borrow someone else’s bass. I was really attracted to the design as it looks so cool and different! I have been playing and learning with Rocksmith which means I have also been connecting it to my PC without any problems (additional lead needed to connect via usb). The sound is really nice and even my very musical husband (who generally plays drums and guitar) likes playing on it. I would really recommend it as a first bass as I am a beginner and it really encourages me to play it often. The addition of the carry case and the lead was also really really nice as I didn’t own any! One of my favourite features is the slanted edge as it makes it really easy to put my arm around it while I’m sitting down and learning to play.

Just a heads up: I am still a beginner when it comes to playing bass, so I don’t really know all the intricacies and terms when it comes to being a bassist, but my goodness this thing is great!
Right out of the box the bass came with a case, and a few Allen Wrenches, both of which were completely unexpected to me! But when I plugged the bass into my AMP, I noticed a distinct ringing sound when the strings hit the fret-board. Just to be clear, I have never had a new bass before, so this was the first time I had encountered an issue like this. I contacted a friend of mine who specializes in modifying guitars, and he had told me that the strings just needed to be broken in, so I’ve been practicing with it daily.
The pictures don’t do the design justice. The purple lightning against the black body really brings the whole thing together, giving the purple some subtlety gives the bass an over-all feel of professionalism (as it deserves).
If I have one issue that needs to be addressed, it would be that the bass pick-ups seem to be quite a bit quieter than either of my previous bass guitars. It could just be my amp, but I barely needed to set the volume at max when playing with my band. With this bass however, max volume barely cuts it. I’ll probably end up installing more powerful pick-ups, or just invest in a more powerful bass. It’s ultimately a minor gripe, but one that I felt needed to be addressed.
For the price, this bass has thoroughly impressed me. The quality goes far beyond any other basses that were in the same price range, and super happy that I took a risk and had this imported to me. I look forward to doing business with Lindo in the future. 🙂

My son chose this as a Christmas present, swayed mainly by the design. I did a little research on Lindo and thought that this would be a good starter instrument for him to learn how to play.
I’ve had a few bass guitars over the years and I must say that I’m really impressed with this. It has a nice tone and, in terms of playabilty, it’s easily comparable with other guitars I’ve owned which have cost a lot more. I’ve played it through a 200 watt rig and would happily gig this- it looks and sounds great.
Mr. Smalley
We’ve now used this guitar for over six months so I feel I can give a fair review of its quality and how it sounds. Initially worried that bass guitars at this price range would be of poor quality (shown most readily by ‘buzzing’ whilst playing) and with parts falling off it, I am so glad that nothing could be further from the truth. This is a well made, sturdy and reliable piece of kit that also sounds amazing, producing a deep and clear tone.
Congratulations to Lindo Guitars for their excellent guitar and the feeling that they care about what their consumers desire in an instrument.
In short, one of our best purchases on Amazon.
CPS
Bass came as described with very quick delivery, they even called to tell me when my bass would be delivered. Very impressed would buy again!
Mr. G. G. Duddy
I bought this bass guitar for my wife as she wanted it and she read great reviews on it.
It is a stunning looking bass guitar and it sounds really good. My wife loves it and would really recommend it. It is also light as she has played heavier bass guitars, so that is a bonus too.
Amazon Customer
Beautiful quality bass with a beautiful play quality, both with and without amplification. Also nice and light, perfect for playing for long periods of time with less strain on your shoulder.
Rhiannon
This Bass is actually so brilliant. I was joining a new band and I knew I needed a new bass but I’m a student and couldn’t pay a whole lot of money. But its actually such a good bass i am so pleased with it I haven’t put it down since I got it. If you are thinking about buying this just go & buy it. I put it off for ages and I wish I hadn’t! 10/10.
Laura Murphy
I have had two of these guitars. The first I had to return due to a fault as the 7th fret E was buzzing every time. The rest of the bass was fine and of course I did everything to try and fix it myself to no avail. Lindo insisted I returned through amazon and they reimbursed me for delivery, there are not many couriers that will deliver a guitar so this was a huge inconvenience.
The second I am extremely happy with. Came very well packaged, looks immaculate and holds tune very well. I had to change the strings as they are quite tinny, but now the bass has a lovely sound. No adjustment to the action was needed.
I have played for 15 years and am a lady with small hands but this bass is very comfortable, neck not too wide and not too heavy, just right.
The colour is stunning it gets so many compliments, and the doves instead of dots on the frets are a nice touch.
Bought this for £129 in the sale but would be happy to pay double that. It sounds great even without an amp.
It arrived with a bag, allen keys, strap and amp cable.
My only negative is the jack is low on the guitar so if you’re seated while playing it’s too close to the leg which can bend the cable. It’s not impossible but you just need to be aware of the cable at all times, I have small legs so it’s not a big deal for me.
This would have 5 stars but I had to knock one off due to the first faulty bass I received.
Robert D.
Having played the double bass for a number of years and having recently played on a friend’s bass guitar, I decided to take the leap and buy my own. I didn’t want to spend vast amounts of money on a top of the range Fender, but nor did I want to be disappointed by a low-range guitar from one of the big brands. After a bit of research I found the Lindo Purple Dove, and I immediately fell in love with the design.
On arrival I spent a little while setting up the bass (there are all sorts of video tutorials), and in hindsight I will probably go back and have another go now that I know what I want it to sound like, but none of the changes I had to make were extreme, just tweaks to suit my needs. In a good amp it sounds amazing, and to my (albeit untrained) ear, there is nothing in any way worse about this guitar than expensive Fenders that I have played and heard played.
Pros:
Great price
Great sound
Looks amazing
Feels well made
Cons:
The free gig bag is a plus, but it’s very thin so should only be used as a temporary one while you’re waiting for a hard case / padded gig bag to arrive
As with the bag, the cable (while sturdy) will never give you the same quality as a slightly more expensive one, so it’s worth getting another one, but keep it as a spare
My advice:
Lindo seems to be a brand on the rise – the build and sound quality is great and they are on their way to proving that they can play amongst the big boys. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, attractive and good-sounding bass, look no further.
Amazon Customer
This is the first bass guitar that I have ever purchased. I bought it unseen. For me It stood out from the rest in the price bracket initially because of its looks. Then when I read up about it the reviewers said that it had a slightly smaller body and that it was lighter in weight than others and was comfortable to hold either sitting or standing. Well, that sold it to me.
On opening the box I found a stunningly beautiful well finished guitar that felt great to play and sounded every bit as good as I had hoped. So yes, it has lived up to my high expectations. My purchase also included a guitar cable and a gig bag. It is such a lovely guitar that I splashed out on a velvet lined case to keep it in. I am going to treat this beautiful guitar with the respect that it deserves.
Andrew Greener
I am so impressed with my new bass guitar!
Apart from looking cool, it’s really nice and easy to play. As a beginner, I wasn’t really sure which guitar to choose, so I looked at the reviews and this one seemed really good, plus I wanted a purple bass!
Within a short time I was playing songs, the bass is a lot easier than an electric or acoustic guitar, so I really was able to start playing popular tunes within an hour (with the help of online tutorials).
Definitely a GREAT choice and for the price excellent quality! I would recommend this product and with prime it came the next day – on the weekend! So happy with this purchase.
MR M.
Great bass for the price does sound great through big amps to.
J. Venner
I’ve just started tinkering around on the bass after years of playing acoustic. I didn’t think I’d be particularly ambitious and just wanted something to add an extra layer of interest to my home recorded songs and thought I’d be happy picking out simple bass lines. Received my Lindo and have absolutely got addicted. I LOVE it. To my ears it sounds great through my little Ampeg amp. The intonation is spot on, I tinkered with the action a bit but it was almost right straight from the box and it looks terrific. Who new….a whole new world. Great!
steven barrett
This is a very good high quality instrument I can’t fault the workmanship! And a very reasonable price for what you get .in short buy one you won’t regret it!
Chris McHugh
After learning guitar for a while I decided to make the jump to bass, and opted for this one as other reviews said it was a good choice for beginners. It arrived yesterday & I’m absolutely delighted with it. It’s light & very comfortable to hold, and it has a really distinctive look. It also sounds great, and has held its tune despite me playing it every chance I get.
Sophie
The Bass Is Beautiful! It Looks Exactly Like It Should. There were some smudges on the body but those wiped right off. The Bass Plays Rather Well, And Came With A Cable 🙂 The Case Is Also Very Nice With The Rather Cute Logo On The Front. It Also Came A Day From Ordering When I Was Told I Would Have To Wait A Week. So Prompt! Its A 10/10 From Me!

I’m very impressed with this bass the sound is amazing for the price it also holds tuning really well . The paint job is great although it is prone to show finger prints. All together a great all round bass for beginners.
Jonathan Poore
Amazingly beautiful bass. The looks and build quality have to be seen to believed at this price. Sounds great too and is so enjoyable to play! It was even tuned and ready to play straight out of the box! Highly recommend!
ben
Great sound, great to hold and to play.
Mrs. W. Chapman
The guitar arrived incredibly quickly and sounds amazing right out of the box. The fretboard is super smooth and fast and it really is the best piece of kit I’ve played that wasn’t custom-made. Definitely a highly-recommended seller and bass for newcomers and seasoned players alike.
thesammy2010
As my first bass (but not my first string instrument) this was a very good buy. It looks sexy, purple gives it a good touch. It’s almost perfect. I don’t know if it’s just mine but when I play the 12th fret on the a string it’s very buzzy and I have to add a lot more force to get a good sond. Maybe it’s just my bass, or maybe it’s the strings. You get a fairly standard case for your bass as well and a free set of replacement strings as well. Very good first bass. I’ve used it non-stop for a month in my band and church so it’s my new best friend. Would recommend.
Robert Peel
My 13 year old Daughter wanted a Bass guitar so my search began. I did a lot of research into the pros and cons of a lot of bass guitars and decided that to get something that would sound decent and as she got better and older would still be adequate. To get this I realised I would have to spend more than the normal £60-£100 for a basic guitar and after reading some of the reviews and doing some research on Lindo guitars I bought this purple one and it was the right choice. The guitar not only looks fantastic but also looks more expensive than it was. It came well packed and was easy to tune. The quality of the notes is exceptional and it feels good when playing it (ie good weight balance and sturdy). I have had a few mates how play guitar in bands (unlike me) who have commented on it’s quality and sound and agree that for the price it is a good investment. So all in all this guitar comes highly recommended.
Marc Fell
for the price…. It sounds fantastic and looks even better. I’ve played gigs etc lots of times and would have no problem using this on stage. havent even changed the strings yet! (I’ll put on some when these dull I guess) and i’m sure it’ll sound even better.
Davroz
This is not only a beautiful looking bass, after a very quick and simple set up to suit my playing style it plays very well and has a really good sound, in my opinion unbeatable for the price, delivery was very quick as well.
Ben
Brilliant bass, arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The shape of the body and the light weight of it make it very comfortable for playing for extended periods of time. Sounds amazing and looks the part. Couldn’t be happier with the guitar or the service from this company.
Katie
I ordered for a next day delivery, yet it came in 3 days. However, the guitar has a beautiful sound and look. But the carry case makes it very awkward to carry around.
brian
Delivery was really fast. Bass sounds good and looks even better then on the pictures!
Ritchie
Got this as Xmas gift for one of the children. Fantastic build quality sounds great. Nice design and comes with most of what you need to play and keep guitar safe whilst traveling would strongly recommend.

Bought for my 12 year old daughter’s birthday. Great looking Bass with excellent low action and sound. Not too heavy either – which is great for her. She’s a picky little customer with strong views on style and she loved it straight away and hasn’t stopped playing since. Hope she doesn’t neglect her regular guitar practice.
Mr A P Carter
I was shopping around on Amazon and a few other Music websites for a top quality Bass Guitar. I came across the Lindo brand. This is a brand that I previously had never heard of but, a few of my friends had. My friends told me to take a look at the PDB basses, So I did. The PDB Purple Dove instantly cought my eye due to the purple colour and the ‘Doves in Flight’ inlays. I’ve had this bass for about 2-3 weeks now and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a Beginner/Intermediate player as this is a very well built Bass Guitar. If you’re looking for a cheap, yet professional feel then I recommend that you take up the offer and purchase this Bass Guitar. Don’t let any of the other 1-3 star reviews put you off buying this. all the 4-5 Star Reviews are 100% correct.
lep
Received this bass this morning and have just been putting it through its paces. I purchased the Lindo Jazz bass in March, and although I’m very pleased with it the Dove Bass far, far surpasses it!! The Dove is beautiful to look at, ‘typically female!!!’. For me it is the best bass guitar I have ever played. I’m wheelchair bound, but play sitting on the sofa with my legs on the wheelchair. Weight-wise the dove is well balanced, not neck heavy or body heavy. It tuned within seconds. The sound quality is excellent.
Thank you ‘Captain Cowchucker’ for your review, I found it very helpful. I do agree with the cable jack socket being at the bottom of the guitar is a pain. Like you I use the Vox amp. I haven’t tried the latter yet, just gone through the main amp. I put the dove through its paces to ‘Candy’, lovely!! Thanks Lindo!
ziggybass
Although its not this model. I have this body with 2 X Humbucker pick ups.
For the money it is amazing. I have friends with fenders, Ibanez, and MM Stingrays that want to buy my cheap Lindo from mne. It sounds so good! I’m not selling!
This bass will take you to the big time if you care for it. Choose your strings carefully. You’ll have to try a few brands of strings that suite your music and THINK also your touch to! Try the cheap strings on this bass first, till you get past the blisters. If like me you like a Fat round whomp jazzy, soul, blues try Dunlops. I’ll stop here. If you want more advice check out Bass Mentality on Google:
Lastly you are never going to sound like your fav, band because they have big cabinet multi stack amps and techies tweeking the sound. Basicaly with bass, the bigger the speaker/cabinet the fuller the sound. Good Luck
Captain Cowchucker
I didn’t plan to learn the bass; it was more a matter of necessity. I am a member of a jamming group and unfortunately there were far too many lead guitarists. Rather than persist with my much loved Fender Stratocaster I decided to undertake a new challenge. (I make it sound so noble, don’t I? It was more of a case of ‘Oh alright, I’ll play bass’.) Initially I borrowed a Fender Precision bass to see if I could get on with the instrument. To my unexpected joy I found it almost easy and certainly more instantly satisfying and gratifying than playing the guitar. Perhaps I am more a natural bassist than guitarist.
I quickly realised that I needed my own instrument so on the spur of the moment I bought the Lindo PDB, thinking I would upgrade if I decided to stick with the bass. It is a nice colour (I like purple, okay?), distinctive (almost unusual?) looking and I liked the idea of a gigging bass – something lightweight, certainly less heavy than the dreadnought I had been playing. I did wonder whether I had made a mistake by buying an instrument without trying it first (foolish, I know). In the end it didn’t matter; for its price the Lindo PDB was worth every penny.
Pros:
1) It is a full sized instrument, yet it feels and handles like a guitar. It weighs about 3kg – about the same as my Fender Stratocaster. This makes it light enough to play for extended periods without causing backache. I would still recommend buying a decent padded strap though, for extra comfort.
2) When played clean it has a lovely rich sound, especially now that the strings have lost their initial metallic buzziness. The provided strings are possibly a bit light for the experienced player and they certainly won’t provide those deep, fuzzy distorted bass sounds required for metal and hard rock. With the right strings and effects pedal these sounds are possible. Admittedly the distorted sounds are not as convincing or full bodied as those from the Fender Precision but they are certainly acceptable.
3) I’m more a ‘deep guitarist’ than a bassist; I echo the riff, improvise around the root, counterpoint the melody and so on. I needed an instrument that would allow me to do this. The string action on the Lindo PDB is so comfortable that I occasionally forget I’m playing the bass. It is therefore ideal for erstwhile guitarists like myself. It is a good beginner’s bass.
4) When played through a decent amp it sounds much, much better than you would expect for a sub-£200 bass. It also sounds pretty good when played through headphones via a Vox Amplug or a multi-effects unit.
Cons:
1) Whoever decided to put the cable connection on the bottom of the instrument needs a stern talking to. You need to lift the instrument up to find it. Also, when using a Vox Amplug it is too easy to accidentally knock out the headphone cable or the 3.5mm jack cable to the MP3 player. Playing with the instrument sitting down is a little awkward since the cable connection is in the way.
2) You’ll either love the doves on the fretboard or hate them.
3) The finish on the fret edges isn’t as smooth as I would like. Not exactly sharp but perhaps a bit too angular for comfort.
4) The finish on the back of the neck isn’t as polished as I would like either.
5) It can sound a bit muddy above the twelfth fret when played clean, especially on the D and A strings.
6) The string action was a little high for me initially. This is adjustable using the provided Allen key.
7) There is still a slight buzziness when palm muting the bottom two strings. I am not sure if this the bass, the strings, my relative inexperience or a combination of all three. This isn’t enough to ruin the general sound of the instrument.
At the moment I’m not interested in popping or slapping, so I can’t comment on the instrument’s suitability for these techniques.
Conclusion
I would recommend this instrument to anyone thinking of trying the bass, or someone needing a backup instrument for gigging. You certainly get value for money and it provides an enjoyable playing experience.

Great guitar, for the price. Not overly heavy as some basses are good action minimal adjustment needed from the box.

I spend half my time living in Greece now and did not want to take my main guitar, a Dean special, backwards and forwards with me but I needed something to practice with. I must say I was not expecting much at the sort of price I wanted to pay but something was OK for I what I needed. I looked around Amazon and found this bass. I was initially surprised that it would be delivered to Greece and with only £8 or so P&P. More surprises to come when it arrived though.
This guitar is wonderful value for money. It plays beautifully and the sound is rich and crisp with no extraneous noises to sort out. The action is good across the whole length of the fret board and after a couple of days to let the string settle down, I am now enjoying every minute I play with it.
It looks good and I will miss it greatly when I go back to the UK at the end of the month but lovely to know it will be here when I get back.

I got this bass as a black Friday deal for £130, so £60 less than the usual asking price. I’d been looking for a budget bass around the £180 mark so jumped at the chance when I spotted the deal.
It arrived on time and well packaged. As soon as I got it unpacked though I noticed a smudge of what looks like black glue between the pickups. Kind of took the shine off the bargain for me.
Then i noticed the metal plate of the insert jack protrudes noticeably from the wooden body of the guitar. Only a couple of mill but you can see daylight through it !
I have to say aside from that it looked and sounded great, easily playable all over the fret board even for a lowly guitarist with no noticeable buzzing apart from that caused by my poor playing.
It stays in tune well even after a fair bit of use but I have chipped the finish on The headstock. It seems to overlap the wooden edge slightly so what I would regard as a minor dunt took off more than expected.
To summarise, if I’d paid full price for this I’d probably have returned it for the glue/resin/plastic smudge alone and bought an equivalently priced Yamaha. That’s based on my experience with a 20 year old pacifica which seems to be indestructible.

All I wanted was a decent entry level bass to give it a go. Let’s be honest, I know nothing about guitars other than I have wanted to play bass guitar for years. So I’m not the person to ask about the ‘action’ on this guitar as I have no idea what that means (if it means anything at all).
However, I DO know that this guitar looks lovely (the colour is a very ‘deep purple’) and sounds great.
Having no idea how to play I bought a copy of Rocksmith for my PC and am learning to play with that. While I am unlikely to be on stage at Wembley this year, I am enjoying it VERY much!
If you have always wanted to play give it a go – and this bass from Lindo will do you just fine.

I am really pleased with my new bass, it sounds and looks great. Adjusting the action was so easy and sorted any rattles. Someone from Lindo called to say it was on its way which i thought was great customer service. Overall very happy with purchase.

I bought this bass to teach myself on and it is perfect for me. It has a small frame which makes it easier to play and its a great colour too!
I would recommend this to first time bassists!

As another reviewer said, the action on the fretboard is excellent , with the strings nicely placed. I wanted a decent bass on a budget. My main criteria oddly was aesthetics as I admire guitars as works of art and I like displaying them as much as I like playing them. However I also wanted a quality sounding instrument and this bass definitely ticks all the boxes. The cable and case are pretty basic and the case is not padded but I expected that at the price paid and I always planned to upgrade these anyway. Very happy with this purchase and I look forward to experimenting with it over coming months.

I came across Lindo while I was looking for a top quality first Bass guitar to purchase, and the PDB caught my eye instantly with it’s stunning looks. After reading the reviews both on Amazon and several forums I was blown away and took the dive.
I’m very happy to say that it was a very wise move! The PDB is nothing short of amazing, from the second you open the box.
The Bass looks absolutely beautiful, and as a Heavy Metal musician, it will also look incredible onstage!
It’s very nice and relatively lightweight, making it extremely comfortable when both sitting or standing, and also great for carrying around without discomfort.
The action on the fretboard is tremendous, with the strings being neither too close nor too far away, so from the get go you can just start playing away. The machine heads also hold tuning very well, which is even more reassuring as I play tuned one step down, which I thought may affect their performance, but it’s not an issue at all!
As for the tone, there’s a great amount of versatility available, from deep low tones to the “Korn Bass”, that distinct clicky style, as well as everything in between. I’d more than happily take this bass to perform any style of music, from Smooth Jazz to Scandinavian Black Metal!
I am blown away by how top quality this product is for the price it is! I have played guitar for 10 years, and I have experimented with many basses over that time, but I am very proud to say the first bass I have bought is a Lindo PDB, and I absolutely love it!

The lindo PDB bass is perfect except for one thing and that is the only thing that stopped it from getting a 5 star and that was the pick ups don’t fit snugly into the bass wood body. I have had this since august and have played from simple scales to intricate bass lines with slap and pop and the stock strings can cope rather well for an affordable and beautiful bass. Once again if it wasn’t for the pick ups being done badly I would absolutely love it. A tip for this is to change the strings to be suitable for what sort of music you play and your technique however the stock strings work fine

It looks really good, fast shipping and no problems with the bass or anything. It sounds as I expected a bass to, although I’m still a novice.
Would recommend, given that it’s so cheap but looks awesome and sounds good. It’s nice to play, though I have small hands and short arms so it’s a bit of a stretch to reach the first frets. But a lovely instrument.

Lovely looking base guitar. A present for my 16 year old for passing her GCSEs – she is going on to study music. Arrived very quickly and packaged well.

Came on time with no scratches or missing parts. The volume control knob was a little loose and required fixing. Other than that a great product.

My son’s usual gigging bass broke, he needed a spare for a gig which was planned that weekend, I ordered this on Wednesday and it arrived in time for the gig. A good stand by bass.
BTW Bass
I recently purchased this bass to play on stage with my band, using a lanes stack I managed to get a great sound without having to change anything apart from the obvious (tuning). After playing for just under an hour the strings stayed in tune properly and stays in tune really well, it gives a really good heavy metal tone and I would definitely recommend this product to other metal bassists.

This being the second Bass I’ve bought in the past few years, this model has maintained it’s quality a lot better than my last, after a fair amount of playing the strings are still sounding nice and keeping in tune over longer periods than I expected. Nothing to complain about so far, sounds great through an amp and the body has managed to stay looking brand new even after a couple months and a few accidental knocks here and there. The packaging it came in kept the guitar from getting damaged in the post and I think the manufacturer took some time to make sure that the guitar was of a high standard and they paid close attention to detail.

This was my first bass guitar,i chose the Lindo purple tiger because it looked like good value for money and the write up about it was good.the service from Lindo was excellent,it was sent by royal mail and only took a day to arrive, the bass was well packaged.i was glad to see just how good the finish was.it seems to stay in tune ok. I would recommend this bass for anyone who wants to learn how to play because if it doesn’t work out you havn’t invested too much money in it.top marks to Lindo!
