As a result, they didn’t meet our strict quality control standards. Some of these imperfections are so minor that they’re hard to capture in photos. Have bought this as a Christmas present for a family member. Guitar arrived quicker than expected, very well packaged meaning there was no chance of damage. Hasn’t yet been played but it looks fabulous and of great quality.

I received my Lindo Skulls guitar today and am generally delighted with it.
I do have two gripes and will get them out of the way first. When I opened mine up there was a ‘dusty powder’ covering it…this did not give a good first impression. I used a filament cloth that will not scratch I use on all my instruments to clean it up, and that did the trick, but it was not a good initial impression. The other thing is the gig bag, not padded or anything. I would rather buy my own and have the guitar a few pounds less (all the gig bag is worth), or pay £20 more and have a good padded bag. The bag provided is ok if you only transport your guitar to a friends house or something….I will be taking mine to the school where I work, so want something more secure/sturdy/padded. Luckily the good quality padded bag I bought for the guitar this is replacing fits this, so that is fine and my guitar is protected……but if you are buying this for a youngster, and given the design many would, it is worth investing £20 or £30 on a good padded bag, especially if the guitar would be taken to a school, go on a bus etc.
So that is the negative…the positive far outweighs the negative here, the quality of the guitar is EXCELENT!
The guitar arrived in a Lindo cardboard box, which was inside a larger Amazon thick cardboard box….very secure. You would be really unlucky if your guitar arrived damaged with all this packaging.
The guitar was only slightly out of tune out of the box, and the built in tuner (which came with a battery) was easy to use, and the machine heads on the headstock were smooth and felt good when tuning. The action on the guitar was excellent for me, and while an Allen Key was supplied, the action was already low enough, but with no string buzzing….so it had been well set up which was more than I expected at this price, impressive. Of course this is also good for anyone inexperienced with guitars buying this one for a youngster.
When played the guitar is fab!
The neck is slightly wider than my old electro-acoustic (an ‘Applause’, Ovation style copy), but it is slim making bar chords easy to form right up the neck and is generally very playable. The body is amazing, really slim, but the dreadnaught shape still made it sound quite loud which was surprising. The volume (unplugged) and tone were really good. I am not a large person, but still found the guitar very comfortable and also light. I have played a lot of guitars around this price point, and the Lindo Skulls is far and away the best.
The Lindo claim that the Skulls is a match for guitars a lot more expensive is a fair one.In both tone, and unamplified volume, this guitar knocks spots of my previous electro accoustic, which was over £100 more expensive. I am delighted with it’s accoustic tone, unamplified volume and playability. It is light (despite being sturdy) and is fun to play. Of course if you can afford a top end Martin or Gibson you would buy that, but this does NOT sound like a budget guitar, it sound how it looks, GREAT!
Anyone who is thinking of buying this might also want to consider buying the strap Lindo have for their ‘Black Alien’ accoustic guitar… I did and the colour and pattern match well.
