The Beginner Acoustic Guitar DVD is a professionally-produced interactive DVD by Lindo Guitars UK. This DVD will give you the ultimate introduction to learning the acoustic guitar the right way. Furthermore, to connect this knowledge with well known songs and provide you with the tools to keep progressing. Here we have an introduction to the key principals of guitar technique, theory and practice. All taught enthusiastically and at the right pace.
We have used modern video and graphical methods to provide a coherent visual accompaniment throughout. The lessons are divided into easy-to-follow chapters and begins with the teaching of basic chord patterns. The chosen method is using the “C.A.G.E.D” system. The “C.A.G.E.D” system is the most straight-forward method to understanding guitar chords and shapes. Rich will then take you all the way through to barre chords and arpeggiated picking.
The Lindo beginner acoustic guitar DVD features material from songs such as ‘Sweet Home Alabama’, ‘Twist and Shout’, ‘Hotel California’ and ‘House of the Rising Sun’. These particular songs use fairly simple chords and structures which will help you relate to what you are playing.
The ‘Extras’ portion of the DVD covers key changes, using a capo, exercises and positions. There’s a wealth of content to be appreciated here and it will take time to make sense of it all. But, the great thing is, you can go back and forth and revisit material as much as you like.

As a guitar newbie, I purchased an acoustic guitar ‘package’ from Yamaha. Guitar, case, tuner, strings, stand and DVD.
The DVD showed how to tune the guitar. But the tuner shown was different to the one supplied, and didn’t clip-on to the headstock as shown in the DVD. Also the DVD had a menu fault, making one of the tracks inaccessible. Hmmm.
I decided it was time to get a DVD more suited to my situation.
After much searching, and review reading, I threw my dart at the Lindo offering. Figuring that it couldn’t be any worse.
Well, the reviewers were right! Right off the bat the Lindow DVD was much easier to use, and the tuning section made it a breeze for me to at least sound like I had some clue as to what I was doing. Everything was clearly explained, and I am really enjoying getting to grips with my new instrument each day, with the aid of the DVD.
It’s a no-brainer if you want a hassle-free start into the guitar world. Well done Lindo!

I purchased this video as a extra aid to learning my guitar I found it very useful as I have a Lindo semi acoustic guitar this video was fist class. It also helps that you can play it back pause etc. The instructor was first class and helped me make my chord progression must easier. I would highly recommend this video.

This is a great dvd! However I think that the teaching needs to be slowed down a bit. I really like these kinds of DVDs because for so little they can be so much.

This DVD has been something of a revelation for me and my girlfriend. I am a fairly well-experienced guitarist, but could never transfer that into teaching how to play. Despite my best efforts, I just couldn’t convey what I wanted to, and this left both of us frustrated. This DVD has changed the playing field, in just a couple of hours she was able to put chords together, and was very excited about the prospect of working towards playing songs. As she progressed through the lessons, her chord changes and fluidity were much improved and this made both of us very happy. Because of this, she is now able to play some basic guitar parts with our band, which gives her lots of confidence and adds something extra to the group.
In short, this DVD is excellent if you want a virtual coach, who can bring the best out of you. By working through the different parts of learning the guitar, you get a real feel for the instrument, both as a beginner, or someone coming back to it.
I gave the DVD five stars, because I couldn’t pick fault with it and would (and have) recommended it to anyone wanting to learn.

I have been through a lot of these types of DVD in my ongoing mission of becoming better at the guitar and i have been playing for over 10 years.
I have realised over time that in the 10 years i have been playing skipping over the fundamentals in the early years is a false economy as it limits your future ability to understand.
This DVD does a great job of taking you from picking up and holding the guitar all the way through to the CAGED system which is something i have always struggled with. I also found this DVD a pain free watch, many of these DVD’s are like eating yesterdays cereal and you have to really force yourself to see it through to the end but not this. I found it good to watch and something i could pick up again quickly when i had to take a break for a few days
I have watched through the DVD several times and will keep it as a reference and reminder that i no doubt will end up going back to.
It is a worthwhile purchase and probably one of the best DVD’s of this type on here.

I really like this DVD, I’ve tried a few over the years and this is probably the best. I like the side mounted fretboard for the finger placements for chords and the sound quality is first class. I’m also really impressed by Rich Weavers style of tuition – informative and patient , not overbearing and assuming like so many instructional DVD/ YouTube videos can be! If you’ve never played before, or if you are just looking to improve (like me!) then this is definitely worth a look.

I found this DVD really good and quite helpful, I am not a complete novice as I been playing on & off for bout 20 years but found the DVD very helpful & very interesting, My 9 year old son has recently taken up learning to play and watching this DVD has helped him alot he has found it very easy to understand and to follow.
Richard is a very good teacher & it is well worth the money if you or a son / daughter / Sibling are looking to take up the guitar its a very good way to learn and not too complicated 🙂 🙂

I purchased this DVD for a younger sibling to help them learn the basics of guitar when they are a bit older and they decided that they didn’t want to learn guitar just yet, I decided to take a look and I was very impressed at what this DVD had to offer. I have been playing guitar for 7 years and still managed to find some small facts that I didn’t know about the acoustic guitar.
The amount of content that there is to learn on this DVD is quite astonishing, there is something for a player of every skill level to learn and this would set up any beginner guitarist to reach a point where they would be able to read tab music on their own and start to learn what they want by doing their own research and practicing by themselves.
Rich Weaver does a great job of explaining all of the information that is needed to complete the lessons and play the songs that are contained in this DVD.
The audio quality was nearly stellar and would provide the listener a great method of hearing what they want to learn so they can play along with the DVD if they so wished.
The only downside to this DVD I can say is that the visual presentation looks a little dated. I watched this on a 40″ LED TV and the video quality was just not there for a fully professional looking DVD. That being said, the graphics were clear and the recorded visuals were definitely watchable and do not hinder the learning experience of someone watching this DVD. This DVD doesn’t look OLD old but it looks like it was made in say 2007. Not bad but just don’t expect 2016 Blu-Ray quality.
I would recommend that anybody who purchases this DVD to watch it over several months and take each section of this dvd as a lesson. Watching this DVD in one go can be grating but spacing out as you would private guitar lessons will provide you with a great learning resource to help you get started with guitar or pick up a few extra facts along the way.

Very easy to follow & great fun for beginners of all ages. Although the Cm chord is a bit tricky. All in all i’m very impressed.
