So here at Lindo we thought: why not collaborate with the man himself and produce intuitive content for all guitar fans?!
Rich Weaver holds a Diploma in Professional Guitar from the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. Producing musicians such as Paul Gilbert and John Frusciante. Rich’s knowledge and skill is second-to-none. Additionally, his unique teaching style is both engaging and fun.
The Beginner Acoustic Guitar DVD is a professionally-produced interactive DVD by Lindo Guitars UK. This DVD will give you the ultimate introduction to learning the acoustic guitar the right way. Furthermore, to connect this knowledge with well known songs and provide you with the tools to keep progressing. Here we have an introduction to the key principals of guitar technique, theory and practice. All taught enthusiastically and at the right pace.
We have used modern video and graphical methods to provide a coherent visual accompaniment throughout. The lessons are divided into easy-to-follow chapters and begins with the teaching of basic chord patterns. The chosen method is using the “C.A.G.E.D” system. The “C.A.G.E.D” system is the most straight-forward method to understanding guitar chords and shapes. Rich will then take you all the way through to barre chords and arpeggiated picking.
The Lindo beginner acoustic guitar DVD features material from songs such as ‘Sweet Home Alabama’, ‘Twist and Shout’, ‘Hotel California’ and ‘House of the Rising Sun’. These particular songs use fairly simple chords and structures which will help you relate to what you are playing.
The ‘Extras’ portion of the DVD covers key changes, using a capo, exercises and positions. There’s a wealth of content to be appreciated here and it will take time to make sense of it all. But, the great thing is, you can go back and forth and revisit material as much as you like.

Nicely laid out DVD showing all the relevant Chords etc. which was just what I needed. Now I need to get my fingers into all the difficult
positions which will need plenty of practice. But to be shown where to place fingers correctly on the frets will make the job much easier.

had this dvd as part of an accessory pack from lindo (pack not advertised on the website, so its worth giving the company a telephone call). as a total beginner, i am finding this dvd very useful indeed. to start, it names the parts of the guitar, shows you how to tune it (using an electronic tuner), covers major and minor cord patterns with several songs to learn to play using these cords, with more cords/barre cords shown as the songs become more challenging. it is easy to follow and is very well articulated. not one for taking to instruments naturally, i drew a fret-board, photocopied it several times and then marked out each string of each cord on its own copy (saves pausing the dvd all of the time). personally, its going to take me a while before i become proficient on all of the tutelage offered, but i am going to give it a good try and will enjoy learning with the aid of this disc! this is my humble review and not that of a professional.
