A new line to follow.
The Sahara’s swirling graphic art gives this four-string bass a character of its own. Copper, cream and teal shapes move across a black gloss body, with a nautical star at the twelfth fret continuing the story along the neck.
Look beyond the artwork and the details are just as inviting: a 30-inch short scale, a C-shaped composite neck and a solid laurel fretboard. It is a bass to explore at your own pace, from the first pattern you learn to the line you make your own.
A shorter scale.
A fresh perspective.
The Sahara’s 30-inch scale brings the frets closer together than a longer-scale bass. Along that shorter length are 20 nickel-alloy frets, set into a solid laurel fretboard.
A C-shaped composite-wood neck meets a basswood body, while a two-way truss rod provides neck adjustment. The complete view alongside lets you follow the instrument from its Lindo headstock to the patterned body and chrome bridge.
A star along the way.
At the twelfth fret, abalone sea shell and maple wood form the Sahara’s nautical-star inlay. Its geometric points sit among the smaller triangular fret markers, adding a focal point without losing the natural detail of the laurel fretboard.
Turn the instrument over and the striped neck continues to the back of the headstock. The Lindo 20th-anniversary mark is visible here, framed by the chrome-finished machine heads.
Colour that follows every curve.
Broad curls, fine lines and small repeating shapes give the Sahara artwork its changing rhythm. These two body photographs reveal how the colours travel around the cutaways and beneath the strings.
The Lindo Purebass pickup sits at the centre of that design. A chrome-finished Lindo bridge and the two control knobs shown in the photographs complete the body’s distinctive appearance.
A different view of the neck.
The striped composite wood is visible along the back of the neck. On its edge, luminous side-dot inlays provide another set of position markers beside the fretboard.
The photographs show both details: the neck’s layered appearance in the light and the side dots glowing in a darker setting.
